CONSENT FORM

Project Title (Working Title):

Cultural Constructs in Popular Cartoon Programs on Television and Their

Viewers Perception with Reference to Children.

This research deals with the children’s most favorite cartoon programs Chhota

Bheem and Ben 10. The research specifically asking question about your child

and cartoon television program. Mainly the study wants to identify whether

culture is being transformed through cartoon programs on children or not. The

study is being conducted in the schools at Salem district, Tamilnadu, India.

The researcher inviting you to participate in this research project because you are

the person being associated with your kid in all the activities such as telling

stories, taking care of them all the times etc., The procedure involves survey.

Detailed questionnaire is prepared and circulated to the children at schools and

other questionnaire is submitted to children for to get answers from their

respective parents. Each questionnaire will not take more than 30 minutes, but

could take up to an hour, depending on the length and detail of your answers.

Your information may be shared with the research supervisor at Periyar

University, Salem where the researcher comes from. There are no known risks

associated with participating in this research project. We hope that, in the future,

other people might benefit from this study through improved understanding of

culture and its values through two popular cartoon programs aimed at

children aged 11 – 13 years. Your participation in this research is completely

voluntary. You may choose not to take part at all. If you decide to participate in

this research, you may stop participating at any time. If you decide not to

participate in this study or if you stop participating at any time, you will not be

penalized or lose any benefits to which you otherwise qualify.
