Labor time savings is where gains will be realized from this project. The key to capitalizing on this type of soft savings is to hold individuals accountable through good supervision, reporting, and monitoring to actually take on more productive and/or higher level tasks requiring a like number of hours saved by leaning out and automating their processes. You should also be in position to scale transaction processing volumes higher with existing personnel.

Once the project hits the Control phase post-DMS implementation, we estimate annual labor savings of 1320 hour at an average fully-burdened rate of $15.50 per hour for an annual recurring labor savings of $20,460. The savings are detailed in the table below and do not include two sub-processes not yet mapped which may yield more time savings.

One-time/first year project expenses include: Consulting fees $3,800 Software costs $3,000 First year software maintenance $ 600 Total $7,400 Recurring annual software maintenance $ 600 1st year return 176% 2nd-4th year return (assuming 4 year life cycle) 3300%
