Being a part of the school’s choir group, I got an
opportunity to visit Fortis Hospital to sing for
cancer sufferers. We sang for patients in palliative
care facilities and intensive care units, filling
hospital corridors and patients room with our
voices. Our songs made the patients feel relaxed
and reduced tensions they had within them. We
also presented thank you cards to the patients. It
was a privilege for me to offer comfort in the form
of song to all the sick patients. I feel myself
fortunate to be a part of this community singing
project. I am a proud Ryanite.

I Abhinav with my parents attended the free health
checkup organized at our school on the day of PTM in
collaboration with Fortis hospital. A team of 08
doctors and technicians conducted all the tests,
provided consultation for general ailments and
prescribed medicines for the same. The camp
included ECG, Bone density test, Blood pressure check, Blood sugar test and BMI. The qualified
experts recommended us appropriate precautions and interventions. My parents and I were impressed
by the professionalism of the doctors. We appreciated and thanked them for their valuable
services. We are thankful to our school also for organizing such beneficial camps.

Our school organized a basketball tournament in
the school premises wherein three teams participated. We played five matches all together.
First position was bagged by Anubhav students of RIS Sec-40, and we stood second. iike every other
sport, Basketball has rules to follow, and breaking them could result in penalties not just for you, but
for your team as well. Practicing self-discipline
helps one become more competitive yet fair and clean in Games and to be focused in succeeding.
Basketball is a game of techniques. and positioning. My coaches at Ryan have taught me appropriate
way for passing, dribbling and shooting. My favourite game is basketball because it showcases
the ability of an individual to score a game by just shooting the ball in the ring. At Ryan we get ample
opportunities to indulge ourselves in co-curricular
activities. I am a proud member of my school’s
basketball team.

Being a cabinet member I, Samarth Tripathi got an
opportunity to visit the orphanage ‘DEEPASHRAM’ to
celebrate the Founder’s Day. The school council
members donated toiletries like bottles of shampoo,
soaps, toothpaste and tooth brushes along with
goodies like cakes, sweets, and juices among the occupants and spent some quality time there. The
visit gave peace and solace to the anxious minds as
they learnt to thank God for everything that He has
provided.
The visit did justice to Chairman Sir’s vision to see the
Ryanites grow physically, spiritually, emotionally and
contribute to the welfare of the society by being
responsible citizens.

PUBLIC SPEAKING
“Public speaking is an art of communicating to the world,
one’s words, ideas and thoughts”.
I Naaz Fatima student of RIS sec-40 would like to
share my views on public speaking skills. My
school has played a vital role in polishing my
communication skills. My teachers taught me
various necessary skills to speak in front of
people. As a result of this , I have increased my
confidence as well as marked a sense of
achievement in me. At Ryan , we expose ourselves
to many activities such as declamation
competitions, role plays, storytelling, debate
competitions. I still remember the day when I
participated in story narration activity for the first
time, my teachers taught me to speak with full
confidence. Grabbing the attention of the audience
with a powerful opening is my USP.

You make me feel you love me,
in many different ways
You make me feel important
with encouragement and praise.
You’re always there when I need you.
To give comfort and care.
I know I am in your thoughts,
your love follows me everywhere.
When I was young
you helped me to grow
and taught me all I had to know
of love and trust and faith and hope.
And everything it takes to cope
Thank you for all you’ve done,

LOVE NATURE
Nature is full of life,
Here Plants, birds & animals all survive.
Humans are lucky to be on this Earth;
For there is no life elsewhere to search.
Nature should be green, leafy
But garbage shouldn’t make it stinky.
Love nature, plant seeds;
To grow more and more trees.
To keep sunlight, wind and water plenty,
Let’s consume them intelligently.
Recycle, reuse and reduce;
These are the 3R’s we should use.

‘A Stitch in time saves nine’.
As this quotation says correcting our present can save our all tomorrows. We can only save our environment
by planting trees today at the present. Our
environment is at the verge of eternal deforestation
and global disparity of resources. The pollution level is
rising at a phenomenal rate. Despite words, speeches
and campaigns, the efforts and actions put forward by
people are devastatingly in small ratio. As it is said,
action speaks louder than words. Keeping this in mind
our school Ryan International took us, for a plantation
drive in our schools backyard in order to rejuvenate
the landscape and its greenery. Keeping in mind our
school’s 6th vision point ‘Environment’ we planted
fourteen saplings among them seven were medicinal
and we pledged to look after them and continue our plantation drives to restore our environment. I am glad
to be a part of this initiative taken by our school.

I, Rabreet Kaur, student of RIS, Sec-40, began my dance
expedition at the age of 5 years, where I participated in
“Dance Dhamaka” 2013 and won 1st prize in solo
category. I also received appreciation from Bollywood
choreographer ‘Prince’. Not to stop, in 2014 again I won 1st prize in ‘Gurgaon’s got talent season 4’, and
journey is continuing since then. To reach till here, my teachers have carved my talent and
stood by me as massive stone pillars.
They motivated me to bring equilibrium
between academics and my passion.
I am blessed to have such supportive mentors.

Being a part of Kanhai village has made me a social worker. As I love and it’s my passion to help others, Kanhai
village has given me a support to fulfill my wishes and do all these things happily and freely.. At Kanhai village,
kids are not having many facilities. On our every visit, we make them aware about the new happenings around
us. We have also planted many saplings there to make that place clean and green. We provide them with many
refreshments just to see big smiles on their faces. Visits to Kanhai village have made me socially interactive and
be in touch with different kinds of people. And this gave me an opportunity to help them in such a way that
every human on this earth should be treated equally. I am thankful to our Chairman Sir for making me a part of
this project and providing me the opportunities to help the weaker section of our society.
