Association of the Comparison Report with the drawing area.

–Synchronization of the report contents with the models in the drawing area, through Options>Show only on Isolate.

–Incoming entities are bounded in a box, labeled “Incoming model”.

Comparison of parts

Matching of parts is done according to their module id. If this does not exist, their name is the matching entity, otherwise the geometry is used.

Comparison report can be displayed in tree-list view, where the results are presented in hierarchical manner or in flat-list view to present results per-type.

Mapping geometric differences: Identified geometric differences can be mapped from one component to its match.

Comparison of Connection entities

New feature has been introduced to compare connection entities. The matching of connection points is specified by a factor of the connected components or an absolute value. The search domain is graphically drawn as a white sphere.

Comparison report is given in two modes:

Tree-list view presents the results in a hierarchical manner i.e. internal to parts/groups connections are listed as “children” whereas, the External Connections category contains all external connections at zero lever.

Flat tree view displays the results per-type thus, all results relevant to connections are under the CONNECTION category.

Color coding:

Upon selection of a connection item, a special drawing mode is drawn along with the display of a legend, which declares the coloring attributes.

- Common Area.

The result on an element is calculated as the weighted average of the results of the source file elements that intersects. The weight factor is based on the area of intersection.

- RBS (Radial Basis Functions Interpolation).

The result is based on the calculation of the weighted average of the results on a group of locations of the source file, according to the given tolerances and expand factor.

Mapping Options:

Connectivity / Search: Specify the domain of the current mesh to be mapped. It can be part, pid or set.

X, Y, Z give the location of the results mapper symbol, without any influence.

Tolerance / Expand Factor: Define the domain of each element, in which the source model will be taken into account.

GUI Desinger

BC GUI is a powerful library of GUI functions. It assists the users to build easily windows that consist of any type of graphical interface, like LineEdits, Comboboxes, Checkboxes, etc. in order to interact faster and easier with ANSA entities.

The BC GUI entities are divided in Widgets, Layouts and Items.

Widgets

Function BCWindow, enables the user to create a window that may hold any of the items that BCGUI can apply.

E.g. using functions like BCFrame, BCLabel, BCLabelTicker, BCSpinBox, BCSeparator, BCSlider and BCStatusBar, the following widget can be created:

Using the BCWidgetStack, a stack of widget can be created. In the same window, the BCListView adds a list. These two entities can be separated by the function BCSplitter. Also, different tabs can be created, using the function BCTabWidget.

Layouts

– BCBoxLayout consists of a rectangular box with transparent border, which can obtain horizontal and vertical orientation to its child widgets and layouts.

– BCGridLayout divides the available space into columns and rows.

The BCWindow has by default a BCBoxLayout with vertical orientation i.e. all the children will be placed one below the other , according to the order they have been created.

Items

BCSpacer gives the ability to create an empty space in a window, extensible to all directions.
