Jodhamal Public School proudly celebrated its XII Annual Day, which was meticulously planned by staff and
students of Junior Section on 03.12.2016 & for the Senior Section on 04.12.2016. Junior School Programme
was wonderful and flawless under the able directions of our Junior School CCA Coordinator Ms. Sonia Mahajan and the Senior
School Programme had Ms. Gouri Banerji as Director to the Ramayana - A Theatrical drama and Mr. Deepak,
Mr. Subhash Dey, Mr. Sahil & Ms. Poonam Mahajan who prepared the School Orchestra which stole the show and
Ms. Aadi Upadhyay, the Dance Teacher trained her students so well for Kathak, Bharat Natyam & Manipuri.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
Jodhamal Public School celebrated its 12th Annual Sports Day in school sports ground with great zeal and fervor. Mr Ajit Kumar Sahu (IAS), Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra, was the Hon’ble Chief Guest and Sh. Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee of the school was the Guest of Honour. The students showcased their talent in Swimmathon, Skatathon, 100 Meters Race, 200 Meters Race, 4 x 100 Meters Relay Race, 800M Race, Fireman Lift, Three Legged Race, Balloon busting and Obstacle Race. The events filled in the hearts of everyone with the spirit of sportsmanship and unity. The Cricket passion drill, Nuan-Chuk demonstration by Arnav Malhotra, Patriotic Dance on foot-tapping music and a well synchronized Aerobics remained the main attraction of this mega event.
On the special occasion of 12th annual day of Jodhamal Public School, Mr Nandan Kuthiala, the Trustee of Jodhamal Public School addressed the gathering and announced the RAI BAHADUR JODHAMAL KUTHIALA SCHOLARSHIP for girls studying in classes 9th to 12th in Govt. Schools, affected by cross border shelling.
JODHAMAL SHINES AT MODERN SCHOOL DELHI
Jodhamal Public School, had sent a team of 15 delegates to the prestigious Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi to participate in their Mock United Nations (MODMUN). MODMUN is the biggest MUN in Asia. Team Jodhamal comprised of Harsimar Kaur, Nimisha Shukla, Vidur Kumar, Manasvini Oswal, Prakhar Bist, Dhvani Gupta, Kshitij Sethi, Gunjan Singh, Muhamad Raza, Razeen Haneef, Dhairya Choudhary, Vasu Sharma, Hasit Sachdeva, Harsh Singh and Asees Chadha escorted by Ms. Bhawna Madaan Faculty Advisor and Mr. Irfan Choudhary the escort teacher. Jodhamal Delegation had the youngest participation from classes 7-11. Dhvani and Vidur, delegates of General Assembly were ranked best 5 out of the 250 delegates.
JODHAMAL DELEGATES SHINE AT WELHAM MUN
Jodhamal Public School receives the International School Award for the Second term for 2016 -2019 at Leela Ambience Hotel New Delhi. To receive the Award our ISA Coordinators Ms. Monika Sethi & Ms. Bhawna Madaan had been there. The First ISA Award was won by Jodhamal for 2013-2016 when Ms. Rohini Aima, the Vice Principal and ISA Coordinator Ms. Arshia Malik together with Ms. Bhawna Madaan who took over from Ms. Malik had worked on the Seven Projects together with the Project Leaders. Jodhamal would love to mention the contribution of Ms. Kiranjeet Kour, Mr. Vikas Bakshi, Ms. Ankita, Ms. Pawandeep, Ms. Akriti and Ms. Sheetal for their technical help in the e dossier.
Jodhamal Public School had sent a Delegation of 13 students and 2 teachers to the Prestigious Welham Boys School Dehradun to participate at the WELMUN. Welham School Model United Nations Conference witnessed its 11th session this year and Jodhamal being the first timer at Welham Boys made a very good impact on all by winning one Best Delegation Trophy and three Verbal Commendations in the very first participation at WELMUN 2016. Vidur Kumar of Jodhamal was adjudged the Best Delegate and Diya Rana, Shrija Jhinkwan and Dhwani Gupta were awarded the Verbal Commendation. Kartikeya Singh, Chaitley Sharma, Atima Bakshi, Asess Kaur, Yawar Qureshi, Anahita Anand, Razeem Haneef, Saba Jamwal & Manaswini Oswal also made a mark in their respective committees.
JODHAMAL RECEIVE THE ISA FOR THE SECOND TERM
JODHAMAL STUDENTS SHINE AT JKMUN
A team from the prestigious Jindal Global University visited Jodhamal School. The team was led by Dr. Sanjeev P Sahni, Principal Director of the University. The other members of the team were Professor Suruchi Makkar and Professor Indrani Lahiri, Senior Trainer at Jindal University. Dr. Sanjeev P Sahni conducted workshop on Academic Excellence & How to make teaching impressive for the teaching faculty, Non-teaching and Helping staff of Jodhamal School. The team also conducted a session on Career Counselling for the students of Class XI and XII. Jindal Law School and Jindal Business School are ranked amongst the Top Colleges in Asia. Dr. Sahni expressed his hope that more students from Jodhamal School & other schools in Jammu would join Jindal University in the coming years.
DIRECTOR JINDAL GLOBAL UNIVERSITY VISIT JMPS
The delegation from Jodhamal Public School which comprised of eighteen students representing six nations outshone in the JKMUN which is an annual event of JK Public School. The delegation from Jodhamal comprised of Nimisha Shukla, Vidur Kumar, Mohd. Raza, Mudabbir Latifi, Advitya, Anahita Anand, Prakhar Bist, Abhijot, Shabab Alam, Yawar Qureshi, Sheen, Harshvardhan, Jodhdeep Singh, Samayak, Tejas, Saba Jamwal, Atima Bakshi and Dhairya Chowdhary. The best delegate INTERPOL was bagged by Nimisha Shukla and highest commendation was awarded to Shabab Alam. The best delegate UNODC was awarded to Vidur Kumar and the highest commendation was bagged by Mohd. Raza. The highest commendation UNHRC was awarded to Dhairya Choudhary. Also the best Position Paper award went to Yawar Qureshi and the best dressed delegate award was presented to Shabab Alam Butt.

Jodhamal Public School celebrated Grandparents Day with remarkable zest on Saturday to show love, affection and gratitude towards their elders. The little toddlers put up a scintillating performance for their beloved grandparents, shocking each and everybody in the audience. Ms Vijay Puri, an eminent Educationist and National Coordinator of All India Edu Leaders Forum, New Delhi, was the esteemed Chief Guest of the day. The programme was kick started with Krishan Vandana, which was an act much appreciated by one and all. The little toddlers gave thrilling performances, from Clap your hand, to Pinga Fusion song of Hindi and Western Music, Mime show, Vande Mataram with all their expressions and energy.

STATE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP
The students of Jodhamal Public School brought laurels by winning 4 Gold and 5 Silver Medals in the State Level Swimming Competition, held recently under the aegis of Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K. Jodhamal students, Vidhur Kumar won 1 Gold, 2 Silver, Varinda 2-Gold, 1-Silver and Khushi 1 Gold, 2 Silver. These students would be representing J&K State at the School Nationals in Rajkot (Gujarat). The Principal, Mr Trilok Singh Bist congratulated the team and the coaches Ms. Pooja and Ms. Aruna for a great performance. The winners were felicitated in a special assembly by Mr Trilok Singh Bist, Principal of the School. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal said that the route of success lies in “hard work and dedication”.
JODHAMAL SHINES IN PEARSON QUIZ
Jodhamal Public School won 1st, 3rd & 5th position in
Pearson Quiz held at Banyan International School.
Samyak & Bhavya's team won first prize out of 123
teams and won a Tab for each and Aditya & Harsh of
VIII F won a wrist watch for each. Mr. Trilok Singh Bist
congratulated the teams and their Teachers Mr. Sanjay
Pandey & Ms. Mubeen Butt for such efforts to prepare
students for the quiz.
15TH STATE MATSOGI-DO CHAMPIONSHIP In the 15th State Matsogi-Do Championship held at Stephen International Public School under the banner of Matsogi-Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir, the students of Jodhamal School made a remarkable victory by winning 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Almost 500 participants from different districts of State, participated in the championship. The students, who won the medals are Suvan Gupta (Gold), Priyanshi Khuda (Gold), Janvi Mahajan (Gold), Kanwar Pal Singh (Gold). Anirudh Mahajan, Manya Gupta, Iffat Raza, Chetanya Kapoor and Aman Gupta won the Silver Medals. Ankita, Tejomay, Aryaveer Chouwhan and Umar got the Bronze Medals. The students were coached by Jodhamal School Coach, Mr Vishal Samrat. The students, who won the Gold Medals will now represent the J&K State in the 12th National Matsogi-Do Championship being organized by Matsogi-Do Association of Karnataka under the banner of Matsogi-Do Federation of India.

Hindi play ‘Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai’ written and directed by Balwant Thakur outshoned at India’s most prestigious cultural centre Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal in Jammu Kashmir Mahotsav organised by Bharat Bharat, Ministry of Culture and Government of Madhya Pradesh. The young actors of Natrang & Saba Jamwal of Jodhamal Public School mesmerised the learned audiences of Bhopal with their professional histrionics. The play warned one and all with imminent threat of disaster and destruction if this malady is not immediately eradicated.
ONE NATION READING TOGETHER
A Scouts and Guides Camp for the Pravesh and Pratham
was organised at Jodhamal Public School Jammu under
the supervision of the Guide Captain Ms. Dolly
Chandhok. Ms. Chunni, the Guide Stalwart of the State
of J & K was the mentor for this Camp at Jodhamal
Public School. We are thankful to the Bharat Scouts &
Guides Office Jammu and Model Academy Jammu for
making it possible to get Ms. Chunni at Jodhamal for
these three days as the Children enjoyed the camp,
learned the sign language and finally the values which
make a child a Scout or a Guide for a life time.
Jodhamal organized the ONRT activity under the aegis of
Scholastic. One Nation Reading Together (ONRT) activity
in accordance to DEAR, to foster the habit of reading and
creating readers is an annual activity in the calendar of
Scholastic, and Jodhamal has already started DEAR in the
zero period right from the beginning of this session which
is really creating the interest in reading amongst students
once again. Under the ONRT, Scholastic India donate
hundreds of thousands of books to children, who cannot
afford them. Jodhamal had been donating the books to
the under privileged children every year and many a
books have been donated to the Govt. Schools adopted
by Jodhamal to bring those children at par with the public
school kids.
SCOUTS AND GUIDES CAMP HELD AT JMPS
DISTRICT LEVEL CHILDREN’S SCIENCE CONGRESS-2016
Jodhamal Public School won District Level Children
Science Congress-2016 and qualified for the State Level
Entry for the 24th National Children Science Congress-
2016, held at St. Peter’s High School, Jammu under the
focal theme “Science Technology and Innovation for
Sustainable Development” The programme was
organized by the National Council for Urban Rural
Development Society Jammu, wherein 44 top notch
schools from whole J&K State participated in the
exhibition. Out of these 08 schools have been selected for
the State Level Science Exhibition. The Jodhamal
students, who prepared the model on “Waste
Management Compost Pit” are Bhavya Bhushan,
Samyak Shirish, Tamana Sharma, Amitoj Kour and
Hardika Wani.
Graffiti Wall Activities
Students of classes 1-3 were taken to designer tile walls.
Aural comprehension was created by students with
guidance of teachers using graffiti walls in Jodhamal
Public School. Later many enthusiastic and creative
students wrote the story in their notebooks. Teachers
also found this activity different and interesting, so
various activities based on those walls such as picture
stories and picture description in English, a similar
picture can be drawn using MS paint by the students in
computers, find the perimeter and area of different
coloured tiles held in the school. Besides these activities
children were also shown the rain water harvesting in
the school and the use of that water for various
purposes.
NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT EXHIBITION 2016
The young scientist of Jodhamal Public School brought
laurels to the State by becoming the overall winners and
clinching the Best Presentation Trophy at
ENEXPO-2016, National Environment Exhibition
organized by Rishikesh Public School, Uttrakhand for
budding gentians of conscientious students to display
their future changing schemes and implementing
scientific skills to bring Indian on International platform.
Team Jodhamal comprising of two mentors Ms.
Roopinder Kour & Mr. Gagandeep Singh along with
super brilliant students Sparshdeep Singh and Gaurvam
Verma of Class X presented the model “A Gadget to
Transform Humidity in Air into Drinking Water”.
DIRECTOR NAA MR. KAPIL BHALLA VISIT TO JODHAMAL
Director NAA Mr. Kapil Bhalla paid a short visit to
Jodhamal Public School and addressed the IAYP Award
Aspirants at different levels and the students felt highly
elated to be a part of this fruitful interactive session
with Mr. Kapil Bhalla who made the students
understand how the Award Journey makes the
difference in the life of a child. He was introduced to the
students with different skills chosen by them and
Community Service. Some students showcased their
Skill to him by Singing, Acting and Speaking on how IAYP
has changed their life at School. IAYP Coordinator Ms.
Shallu Sharma & Ms. Deepta Khussoo also attended this
Session by the National Director of the National Award
Authority an off shoot of the Duke of Edenburgh's
Awards from U. K.
THE JODHAMAL QUIZ
Jodhamal Public School prepares the students for the Quiz
by conducting many quizzes throughout the year but
Annual Quiz "The Jodhamal Quiz" has its own charm for all
aspiring and young quizzers of Jodhamal. The Jodhamal
Quiz is an initiative taken up by the Quiz Master Sanjay
Pandey asssisted by Quiz Master Mubeen Butt. This Quiz
is the platform for JMPians to hone up their Quizzing skills
and that is how most of the District, State or National Level
Quizzes were won by Jodhamal Students in the past. The
Quiz was based on General Knowledge, Current Affairs,
History and Mythology, Entertainment, Sports and
Computers etc besides the Audio and Video rounds. The
Quiz was won by 'The Invincibles' comprising of Shivam
Sanoria, Arnav and Raghav Singh Charak and the runners
up was bagged by ' The Incredibles' comprising of Anmol ,
Dhananjay & Ravinav.
CAREER COUNCELLING WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS
Dr. Raj Singh Vice Chancellor of the famous Rayat Bhara
University conducted an Interactive Session cum CAREER
COUNSELLING workshop at Jodhamal Public School for
the students of classes XI and XII. Dr. Raj Singh is a
renowned educationist of the country and has many
accolades to his credit. He has also held the prestigious
post of Vice Chancellor of the various other Universities –
GD Goenka, Amity and Ansal University. Dr. Raj Singh
interacted with the JMPIIANS and was keen to know that
how the young generation felt about the present
scenario of the country and how can they contribute to
the future economic prospects of the country.
TWO DAY CBSE WORKSHOP ON CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT HELD AT JODHAMAL PUBLIC SCHOOL
A Two Day Workshop on Classroom Management was conducted by CBSE at Jodhamal Public School on 16th & 17th
December for the teachers of CBSE Schools of Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 59 teachers from Jammu, Udhampur,
Kathua, Samba, Katra, Akhnoor, Srinagar, Manasbal, Billawar and many other parts of Jammu attended this workshop
to hone up their skills in managing the classrooms. The Resource Persons Rashmi Ahluwalia the Principal of Cambridge
Montessory School Pathankot was one of the CBSE Resource Person who delivered each and every topic in detail in a
very easy way for all to understand the concept of Classroom Management. Second resource person was Navdeep
Bhandari the Principal Guru Nanak Public School Dalhousie. He in his presentation also talked on the age old classroom
management system will not be able to work with today’s kids and also made the session hilarious by adding the urdu
couplets in his presentation. Trilok Singh Bist Principal Jodhamal also took one session on Effective Classroom
Management. He took ten points viz starting the class tough in the beginning to avoid being taken for granted by the
students, To be fair with all students, By being prepared for any kind of disruptions, By instilling the high expectations among
children, Inculcating behavioural norms, By over planning to reach each child with multiple intelligence, By Having a
disciplinary plan of what are do’s and don’ts. By Focusing on relationship and a bond with the student, being careful
about the confrontation and finally by being careful about confrontations and being patient.
An Economics Workshop was conducted at Jodhamal Public
School, Jammu under the aegis of Jammu Sahodaya and the
best part of this workshop was the betterment of the students
of Jammu irrespective of the schools they belong to. Mr. Ashish
Maharaj the PGT Ecomomics from Jodhamal had delivered the
tips to all students present from various schools of Jammu as to
how to attempt the Economics paper in the board exam and as
to how to ensure the time management as per the marks
allotted to each question. He did the Introduction of
Economics, Money and Banking, Balance of Payments and the
theory of Macro Economics in a nutshell to all within 2 hours.
Mr. Trilok Singh Bist the Principal of Jodhamal also took two
sessions first on the Micro Economics and the Graphical
representation of all economic problems in an economy and
then he took the National Income Accounting made easy
presentation in which he had a beautifully designed PPT for the
students on National Income Accounting and the numericals on
the three methods of calculating the National Income of an
economy. Students of Model Academy. DPS, APS etc all enjoyed
the session and thanked the Jodhamal School administration
for the workshop conducted.

JMPS Ranked no.1 in J&K State
RAJ BHASHA HINDI WORKSHOP
Our National language has been neglected for long or
so believes KRITI PUBLICATIONS, a Delhi-based
publishing house. They organized one day Hindi
orientation workshop for the teachers of all the top
notch CBSE School of Jammu City and gave them tips on
how to make Hindi an interesting subject. The
workshop was conducted at Jodhamal Public School
which witnessed the participation of over 55 teachers
from Jodhamal and other CBSE Schools of the city.
Dr Anil Kumar Gugnani from State Council of Education
Research and Training SCERT, Chandigarh, who has
been teaching Hindi since 21 years, was the Chief Guest.
