MANUSHUO-UTHAN PROFILE

Manushuo-Uthan is a registered Society, operating as Non Government Non

Profit organisation, is operating in the area of sustainable human

development. While it commenced “human odyssey” during Year 1998, it

however registered in the Year 2001, as a ‘Society’ under Societies

Registration Act, Delhi, India.

Preamble: “Manushuo-Uthan”, a society for sustainable human

development, is about building human capabilities, sharing common vision,

empowering institutions by reinforcing human development endeavours and

to create an environment commensurate with performance par excellence

aimed at nation building. With the motto of ‘Sarve Bhawantu Sukhna’,

Manushuo-Uthan commenced an “odyssey” for holistic human development.

Belief in people and in their capabilities remains the guiding force.

“Manushuo-Uthan” has been established as non-government, non-profit

‘Society’ to address and meet widely felt need to attain sustainable human

development through multi-dimensional development process approach with

Institutional support. Manushuo-Uthan follows international standards in its

activities. Experienced and visiting facilitators drawn from wide spectrum of

social institutions, consulting organizations, banking domain, professional

bodies including eminent personalities and experts, carry these out.

In the quest of sustainable human development Manushuo-Uthan has taken

up assignments for the sustainable improvement of employees, resulting in

overall growth in business through research and training & development

initiatives. Associated faculties and facilitators has the distinction of having

provided / undertaken / directed / guided training & developmental services

including cultural transformation, organizational development & institutional

building projects to various organizations.

Manushuo-Uthan is confident of having a long-term, multi-faceted relationship

with its customer organisations, as it does provide services such as

Organization Building, Training Need Analysis, Customized Content

Development, Organizational Transformation, Holistic HR Policy,

Organisational Reengineering and similar Services including sharing the

responsibility of assignments of all shades and colours.

AIMS & OBJECTS ‘Manushuo-Uthan’ has been established as a non-profit, ‘Society’ for ‘Economic Development’ to meet the widely felt need to attain sustainable human development through multi-dimensional human development process approach. The organisation will study, analyse, evaluate and process the socio – economic aspect of mankind in four distinct areas of social life; viz., education, environment, sociology and history. It will plan and take up human development projects and assignments through education, training, retraining and human resource development path at the societal level of which institutions, organisations, industries and sub-social groups are a component.

‘Manushuo-Uthan’ commences its activities with public support and follows international standards in its activities. The activities are carried out by full time experienced facilitators as well as visiting facilitators drawn from wide social spectrum viz., Industries, Academics, Government and Non Government Institutions, Consulting Organisations, Banking Institutions and Other professional bodies including eminent personalities and experts.

‘Manushuo-Uthan’ has been formed in the general interests of mankind and shall conduct itself on non-political, non-profit, non-sectarian and non-religious basis.

To adopt integrated socio-economic human development paradigm so as to attain sustainable economic development.

To study, analyze, evaluate and process the ‘socio – economic’ aspects of mankind in for distinct area of social life; viz., education, environment, sociology & history.

To plan, formulate and undertake human development projects and assignment in the form of education, training, retraining, and human resource constituency development at the societal level of which institutions, Organizations, industries and social sub-groups and groups are brought under an integrated & Inter woven component.

To scan and pay attention in the fast polluting socio-economic environment to attempt and help eradicating socio-economic corruption through launching mass awareness campaign and mass education programmes.

To develop mankind to fight the ever-growing social and economic evil in national power sector and utilities through education, mass awareness, training, retraining and exposing people attached with the industries and institutions through human resource development strategic planning.

To pay special attention to management issues in Indian Power Sector and utilities connected with public life, public probity, public image and character building.

To educate mankind the necessities of reforms in Indian Power Sector, processes involved in restructuring of Power Sector and utilities and prepare them to meet future challenges as well manage the transition connected with the change process.

To educate the mankind and prepare them to understand and appreciate the principles of convergence in the Indian Power Sector & Public Utilities through drawl of human resource development constituency.

To play significant desired and directed role in health care and socio-economic welfare of the mankind.

To conduct research & development, and human resource developmental programmes, conferences, workshops and symposium. And prepare resource personnel to undertake such activities.

To undertake academic and research projects for promoting and sharing knowledge, disseminate skills and multi skill human development programmes with a view to help in self-employment and also help generating multiple employment opportunities and avenues through discourses, lectures, workshops, multi-skilling methodology and research projects.

To publish journals, periodicals, books and develop and innovate such systems through which the policy makers could be enlightened.

To interact, co-operate, co-ordinate, collaborate and co-exist with the watch dog organizations like CVC, CBI, IB, RAW, Police, State Administrative Services Personnel and prepare activist to play proactive role towards nation building.

To sponsor and support special studies of moral values, historical, cultural, environmental, economic, humanistic, and judicial prudence of national life and importance in the context of day to day life aimed at planned ‘socio-economic’ development.

To create and provide necessary climate wherewithal for a social security systems towards sustainable human development and organize related programmes, seminars and symposium to appropriately fuse National Integration among Indian National of all shades of community spread across the human spread.

To receive and accept grants, gifts, donations and contribution in kind or cash for the furtherance of society’s objective.

To act in all such matters that would be incidental and or conductive to the attainment of all or any of the above aims and objectives of the society.

“All the income, earnings, movable, immovable and other properties of the society shall be solely utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in the Memorandum of Association and no profit on there of shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus profits or in any manner whatsoever to the present or past members of the society or to any person claiming through anyone or more of the present or the past members. No member of the society shall have any personal claim on any moveable or immovable properties of the Society or make any profits, whatsoever by virtue of this membership”.

PRESIDENT’S STATEMENT

Consistent with standards set all these years, this Annual Report for the year

ending 31st March 2012, I, on behalf of Executive Committee Members,

present to General Body. This report circulated for information and reference

to each Organization with which Manushuo-Uthan was associated with. Copy

of report is also circulated to Manushuo-Uthan Facilitators, associated

Faculty, Manushuo-Uthan Life Members, Ordinary members and Student

Members for record and reference listed stake holders.

Having widely circulated annual report for the Year gone by, I, expected to

receive kudos, brick-bats, laurels, appreciation, suggestions, criticism and

appreciation, however received none. It did surprise me, if readers have

indeed read the contents, understood meaning or concern they are with what

ever happening is happening for good or not. However I, take the trend in

positive sprit and great stride, that whatever Manushuo-Uthan is doing, it has

general approval of associate, stakeholders and well wisher, quite

encouraging phenomenon, indeed. I therefore, in this report, attempted to

place salient achievements, work it undertook, researched efforts Manushuo-

Uthan steered and client based it served in brief, though highlighting

achievements and activities in readable and understandable length and width.

The report reflects commendable initiatives the year under report.

During the Year Manushuo-Uthan took up among regular assignments, new

venture to bring in improvement of employees in couple of new Organizations

however it did sharply lost ground in few traditional bases like, THDC India

Ltd, though remained confined to Tehri Project only. Continuity of people

empowerment progressed in includes Maharatna CPSUs, Navratna CPSUs,

Central Power Sector Utilities and State CPSUs, Government controlled

Utilities and Private Sector Organizations. Manushuo-Uthan commendable

span ranges from “Top Management Personnel to grass root employees”

including Induction level personnel. These includes, workman, supervisors,

notable is employees’ wards ranging from class V to XII.

The Year under report is laudable, indeed. The widest range speaks volumes

such as School kids’ workshops in the areas like Out Bound Trainings, long

duration Personality Development Programs, Theatre Modules workshops,

uncontrolled revenue generation initiatives; Researched based paper

submissions, Workshops on Performance Management System

improvements.

Shift from traditional Organisation to assisting one the ailing Jharkhand State

Electricity Board (JSEB), dealing with collectives of Mineral & Metals Trading

Corporation (MMTC) and enlighten them concept of generating uncontrolled

ACTIVITIES IN FINANCIAL YEAR 2011 - 12

“Manushuo-Uthan”, a society for sustainable human development, is about

building human capabilities, sharing common vision, empowering institutions

by reinforcing human development endeavours and to create an environment

commensurate with performance par excellence aimed at nation building. In

the quest of sustainable human development, Manushuo-Uthan has taken up
