 2016 Annual Report

 President's Message

Dear Friends

Last year was incredible for Angel Flight East and the organization looks forward to a productive and impactful year ahead. Beginning October 2017, Angel Fight East is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. As we grow, it is important to acknowledge the people who make Angel Flight East a vibrant organization. Sponsors, pilots, staff, board, supporters, and volunteers help the organization fulfill our mission. We facilitate free air transportation to patients and families by arranging flights to distant medical facilities, delivering supplies to disaster areas and reuniting families during desperate times. It is through everyone’s efforts that Angel Flight East served over 150 families this year.

The annual report highlights the various ways in which Angel Flight East expanded its reach and served more people. You will enjoy reading the patient stories and learning how your support impacts the lives of so many people.

In 2016-2017, Angel Flight East Pilots spent over 1,300 hours in the air. Our mission coordinator facilitated over 800 flights. The patient needs included treatment of advanced stage or rare cancers; evaluations or second opinions with specialists; or recurring appointments for medical treatment.

I invite you to continue supporting Angel Flight East by joining our social media sites, volunteering at our events, considering a board membership or simply making an annual contribution.

As I close this letter, I want to personally thank you again for your support over the last six years of my tenure as a member of Angel Flight East’s Board of Directors. It is a privilege and an honor to serve this organization. I leave Angel Flight East in good hands, the president-elect, Todd Irwin, is both a pilot and a great leader!

All the best,

Terri Donohue President, Board of Directors
