Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi was born on March 21, 1923 to a Christian family at Chhindwara,India. Her Parents were Shri Prasad Rao and Cornelia Salve, direct descendants of the royalShalivahana dynasty. Seeing the beauty of this child who was born with a spotless brilliance,they called her Nirmala, which means „”Immaculate‟. Later on She came to be known tomultitudes by the name of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi-the revered Mother who was born withher complete Self Realization and knew from a very young age that She had a unique giftwhich had to be made available to all mankind.Shri Mataji was born with a complete understanding of the human nervous system. In order tobecome acquainted with the scientific vocabulary attached to these subjects, she studiedmedicine and psychology at the Christian Medical College in Lahore.

Shri Mataji’s involvement in the freedom struggle is extremely remarkable. She was verycourageous and played an important role as a youth leader of this campaign. In the 1942 “QuitIndia Movement” announced by Gandhiji, She was even arrested and put in jail along withother freedom fighters for actively participating in this movement. Shortly before Indiaachieved independence, Shri Mataji married Sir C.P. Srivastava, one of most prominent anddedicated civil servant of India.

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has dedicated her life to triggering the spiritual ascent of mankindthrough Self Realization, reclaiming the role of women in spiritual evolution and guidinghumanity to correct today’s moral dilemmas. It seems that the light of Gandhi’s Vision wasbrought to fulfillment by this Great Lady who is revered as the compassionate Divine Motherby Her followers, as the “Messenger of peace” by Ayatollah Rouhani of Iran, an Avatar of themodern era by Claes Nobel, grand nephew of Albert Nobel, the creator of the Nobelfoundation and Chairman of United Earth.

She gifted Sahaja Yoga to humanity in 1970 when She for the first time in the spiritual historyof evolution of man opened the “Sahasrara” of the universe at Nargol in Gujarat. Since then

She tirelessly pursued, single handedly, Her mission of spreading Sahaja Yoga. In thebeginning Sahaja Yoga started in a small way but it spread across the world rapidly. At presentpersons from more than one hundred countries are following Sahaja Yoga.

Our Sacred and Beloved Mother decided to transit to Her Virat and Nirakar form on 23February 2011. We the children of this Supreme Incarnation bow our heads with gratitude andLove for our Divine Mother for giving us our Self Realisation and make a solemn promise thatwe shall continue Her Great Mission of sharing this Love that we have felt within, with the restof the world, through the Self Realisation process of Sahaja Yoga.

Sir C.P.Srivastava, Padma VibhushanOur Former Chairman(24 Feb 2011 to 22 July 2013)

Sir C.P. Srivastava, Padma Vibhushan, KCMG, was the Secretary-General Emeritus, of theInternational Maritime Organization, United Nations and was recipient of the Lal BahadurShastri National Award for Excellence in Public Administration, Academics andManagement, from the Government of India. Sir CP got married to Shri Mataji NirmalaDevi and led an incredible life which is full of achievements. Once, while replying to ajournalist he said:

“My life has been greatly influenced by my wife, now known globally as Mataji Nirmala Devi,the founder of Sahaja Yoga. Her vision of one Almighty God and one human family hasmotivated me in all aspects of my life. I am sure this can be done world wide as well. I alsopractice Sahaja Yoga meditation that my wife Nirmala founded. This is a meditation whichchanges people from the core. It helps them become more balanced and strong. It’s alwaystaught free of cost all over the world as we believe that spirituality cannot be paid for inmoney”.Sir CP has been honoured with a large number of Decorations, Award and HonoursInternationally as well that has no parallel in the country. He was awarded the Padma

Vibhushan, by the Government of India, on 31st Mar 2009. Sir CP has authored the followingbooks which have attracted rave reviews in the country and abroad:-

Sir C.P.Srivastava became the Chairman of the National Trust after Shri Mataji Nirmala Deviattained Her Nirakar form. Sir C.P.Srivastava passed away peacefully in Genova, (Italy), on 22July 2013.

Sahaja Yoga World Ashram (Chhindwara)

Shri Matajis Birth Place (Shrine)

Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi’s birthplace (Shrine) is at Chhindwara and has beendeveloped in its originality as was at the time of the Birth of Our great Divine Mother. The birthplace of H.H.Shri Mataji (Shrine) is regularly visited by Indian and foreign Sahaja Yogis andtheir numbers are increasing every year.

The International Ashram is located in the Shiv Parvat, Saalimeta (Linga) has been developedand is being maintained and upgraded on regular basis.

At the Linga Ashram, the trees are being regularly under various plantation programmes. Fruittrees have also been planted and have now started bearing fruits. A very good rose plantationnear the cottage has been developed with well boomed roses of different colours. Regularmaintenance and up gradation of facilities is in progress at Linga Ashram.

The International Birthday Puja & Seminars are being held at Linga 19 to 21 March everyyear and the programmes for Divine Bhajans and Darshan of the Shrine continues theresimultaneously.

During this yearAlso Sahaj Prachar Prasar in villages was also done. Health camp for villagersaround Linga Ashram was also held. Many new Sahaj Yogi’s have joined Sahaja Collectivity inChhindwara.

Pratisthan, Pune

Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi lived in Pratisthan from 1986 till 2010. Her residence‘Pratishthan’ was named after the capital of her ancestors the Shalivahanas (presently calledPaithan). Pratishthan was gif ted to Nat ional Trust on 08 December 2010.Nat ional Trust es tabl ished H.H.Shri Mtaj i Nirmala Devi Museum atPrat is than, Pune on 19 July 2015 in the memory of our Glor ious, Divine andmost Beloved Mother . This is the f i rst museum of i ts kind in the worldbecause i t ex tols the Glory of Adi Shakt i , the Primordial Mother . It hasprecious i tems gif ted to Divine Mother by Yogis from al l over the world.Prat is than has amazing vibrat ions . Interested sahaja yogis can make a vis i t

there wi th prior informat ion. With the Blessings of our Most Beloved andDivine Mother , the Inaugural Ceremony of the 1 s t Phase of the Museum washeld on 19 t h July 2015.

Since then Yogis from al l over the World and India are vis i t ing the museum.Further i t has been kept open for general publ ic as wel l on Sundays from12:00 noon to 3:00 PM wherein general publ ic numbering 50 to 300 vis i tevery week and get Blessed by the Divine Mother .

Since the said property is constructed over about 3.5 acres of land and the sheer magnificenceand size of this property r e q u i r e s regular and timely maintenance and good securityarrangements which is being provided by the Pratisthan Committee regularly. Moreoverarrangements have been made and are being upgraded regularly for comfortable stay of personsvisiting Pratisthan. Since Navratri 2016 daily morning and evening meditation and Aarti is beingperformed at Pratisthan.

Grant to Pratishthan

Pune committee had been given a grant of ten lakhs (Rs 10.00) by National Trust during year2016-2017. They have spent Rs. 8, 95,459/- on the construction / maintenance and up gradationof Pratishthan and facilities in rooms etc for making staying arrangements. Balance of Rs 1,04,541 is to be used for F.Y 2017-18 by them.

Nirmal Tree and Nirmal Temple at NargolThe Saru tree under which Shri Mataji opened the Sahastrar Chakra has been named asNirmal Tree. Local authorities have declared the forest around the Nirmal Tree as NirmalVan. A small temple has been built by villagers near the Nirmal Tree and regular meditationis held on the adjoining platform there. A sahastrar gate has also been built at the entrance ofthe Nirmal Van.

Sahastrar Dham Nargol Project (Gujarat)

We are all aware that Nargol is the Birth place of Sahaja Yoga. On its sea shore on 5 th May1970 Our Divine Mother opened the Sahastrara of the Universe and gave Sahaja Yoga to theWorld. So Sahastrar Dham is the most important Dham for Sahaja Yogis of the world.

On the request of National Trust an area of 2 hectares (5 acres) has been allotted forestablishing of Meditation Hall, School and Health Centre by the Government of Gujarat at50% concession of its value. Since February 2015 to March 2017 a contribution of Rs 255Lakhs (including Rs. 50 Lakhs during F.Y 2016-17) have been made to Nargol by NationalTrust for the said Project. Further Rs. 48 Lakhs donations have been received at Nargol forthe Project. Thus total amount received for the Project under construction is Rs. 303 Lakhstill March 2017.

Construction is going on its full swing and we are feeling shortage of funds to complete theproject.

The National Christmas Puja 2016 was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm bySahaja Yogis who assembled at Nargol. The local villagers, at Nargol attended the ChristmasPuja in large numbers. The regular morning meditation was enjoyed by all alongside theNirmal Tree, in Nirmal Van. Besides National Christmas Puja, the Gujarat Collectivity hasstarted celebrating the Sahastrar Day Puja every year at Nargol. The local collective ofNargol is doing all Pujas at Nargol (Nirmal Van).

In the financial year 2016-2017 financial assistance of Rs. 5.00 lakhs was given to Sahaja YogaMeditation Center, Ankleshwar (Gujarat) for the construction of new meditation center.

Vishwa Nirmala Vidya Mandir (Sahaja School) Kerala

In the financial year 2016-2017 financial assistance of Rs.7.50 lakhs was given to VishwaNirmala vidya Mandir Kannur Kerala. This amount has been given to them for day to dayexpenses like salary of teachers, maintenance of school and other miscellaneous expensesoccurred in the school. At present no construction work is going on. Numbers of students havegone down due to no availability of NOC. Efforts are underway to get NOC at the earliest.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation Center (Kallachi) Kerala

In the financial year 2016-2017 financial assistance of Rs.3.20 lakhs was given to Sahaja YogaMeditation Center, Kallachi (Kerala) from H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahaja Yoga Trust forthe construction of new meditation center. For construction purpose they have already utilizedRs. 2.50 Lakhs and remaining balance amount is to be used for land registration.

Sahaja Propagation

Many public programs were organized for Sahaja Propagation by different State/Distt/CityCoordinators. Also seminars were held with focus on Sahaja Prachar Prasar in all importantPujas organized by National Trust. Focus was also placed for programs of Sahaja Yoga inSchool, rural areas and corporate sector, residential societies etc.

Many New Centres (Meditation Halls) were opened in different parts of India. Use of Electronicmedia was made which helped in bringing many new seekers.

A grant of Rs 124 Lakhs was given to different projects to complete different centres in Indiafor making meditation halls. The grant of previous year was Rs. 154 Lakh. Over all SahajaPrachar Prasar is the main activity and thrust of the National Trust. Many schools, colleges,universities, corporate houses, road shows and programmes in markets, parks and other places

were organized throughout India for giving realization to general public for human welfare andtheir upliftment.

Sahaja Propagation through Sahaja Krishi

Initially this programme was limited to a few states viz. Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradeshetc being done sporadically by a few Sahaj Yogi Farmers.

When reports from different corners started coming, these indicated Shri Mataji’s Divine powergiving positive responses in increasing Agricultural production, after which a decision atNational Trust level was taken to hold All India workshops and meetings on this subject.Accordingly, the first National Level seminar on Sahaj Krishi was held at Jaipur (Rajasthan) inFebruary 2012. Thereafter, on various occasions almost every year such meetings / workshopswere held and Sahaj yogis were guided and motivated to undertake Sahaj Krishi work so thatthrough it Sahaj Yoga propagation could take place.

Work done during 2016-17 for Sahaja Krishi:

By the blessing of our Beloved Mother, NSYS Sahaj Krishi Team has conducted Krishi TrainingSeminars all across India. The team started from Amreli in Gujarat where our coordinator Mr.Mahesh Avhad and his team participated in a six day krishi fair where realization was given tomany farmers. After that several events were held in many villages of Maharashtra

Sahaja Yoga Realization program carried at ICAR office, Bhubneshwar (Orissa) and also got aplot for Research in Sahaja Krishi. “Cassava Crop” grown in the fields by using Sahaja Krishitechnique and Vibrated water and we are getting good results.

Shree Shakambhari is a temple of Goddess 40km from Saharanpur, U.P where a big fair held inthe temple campus and thousands of people had come to this fair and this was the best chance tospread the natural farming along with Prachar Prasar in Sahaja Yoga. Following Self Realizationand Sahaja Krishi Fairs are organized as under:

Around 20,000 peoples took Self Realization in the 4 day Krishi Fair in Ahmednagar,Maharashtra.

Around 25,000 peoples took Self Realization in the 4 day Krishi Fair in Ujjain (M.P). Around 15,000 peoples took Self Realization in the 4 day Krishi Fair in Ujjain (M.P).

A two (2) day Seminar was organized for farmers and Sahaja Krishi technique were adopted forSahaja Krishi and tell them the benefits of Vibrated water and Vibrated seeds.

In district Khargao (M.P) almost 235+ Realization and Sahaja Krishi programs were conductedin the F.Y 2016-17. Thousands of people got their Self Realization in these Seminars. A goodand active team for Prachar and Prasar has been made.

In Krishi Darshan Kisan Mela at Hissar, Haryana a Sahaja Krishi Stall established from October28 to 29 October 2017 and thousands of farmers and people got their Self Realization and a goodknowledge about Sahaja Krishi has been given to them.

On 1st November to 3rd November 2017 at Kapal Mochan, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana a fair wasorganized where almost 8.0 to 10.0 Lakhs people visit this fair and we got a chance to put a stallin this fair and Self Realizsation and knowledge about Sahaja Krishi has been given to all newseekers.

Sahaja Krishi Seminars has been conducted in Haryana and all other States and lot of peoples getbenefited by them in F.Y 2016-17.

A Sahaja Krishi Divine work done at “Agrovision” Krishi Fair held at Nagpur (Maharashtra) lotof farmers visited to the stall and got benefited by it. Sahaja Krishi Divine work has also beendone at Pipply and Chandpur village in Uttrakhand.

A Sahaj Krishi Android Application has been created by the NSYS Krishi team to spread SahajaKrishi and within two weeks, it was downloaded by over a thousand yogis. A Facebook pagecreated for Sahaj Krishi has also got huge response from all over the world.

Sahaj Krishi State Coordinator and Sahaj Krishi Regional Coordinators have also been appointedby National Trust for effective implementation of Sahaj krishi methods across India

Sahaja Yoga Meditation Center – Jalgaon (Maharashtra)During the F.Y (2016-17) financial assistance of Rs. 12.00 Lakhs was given to Jalgaon Centertowards purchase of land for Construction of new Mediation Center. This land is having a 500feet road from a concrete main road of town Tarsod. Borewell digging in this land has been donewhich is having water resource. An electric connection has also been applied for this site.

In the Financial year (2016-17) financial assistance of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs was given by Sahaja YogaDhyan Kendra, Kanpur (U.P) for construction of its Meditation Center. Total contribution sinceF.Y 2014-15 is Rs. 23.00 Lakhs to them.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation Center – Nagda (M.P)

During the F.Y (2016-17) financial assistance of Rs. 3.50 Lakhs was given to Nagda Centerfrom H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahaja Yoga Trust towards the Construction of newlyMediation Center. The following works has been done:

Hall laying of columns, brick work, RCC roof work and stage work, plasteringinside and outside.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation Center – Mhow (M.P)

In the Financial year (2016-17) financial assistance of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs was given by Sahaja YogaDhyan Kendra, Mhow (M.P) for construction of its Meditation Center. Collection of Mhowcentre ₹ 7, 21,524.00 totaling amount ₹ 12, 21,524. Till this period the total expenditure is ₹ 11,22,281. Flooring and plaster work is under process and the construction work is expected tocompleted by Dec. 18.

Yogdhara – India Tour

In 2017, YOGDHARA - MUSIC, YOG & MEDITATION TOUR TO INDIA– with the dynamicYuvashakti from 12 Nations - Ukraine, Russia,Australia, Austria, USA, UK, China, Canada,New Zealand, Singapore,Lithuania and Romania - was organized by H H SHRI MATAJINIRMALADEVI SAHAJAYOGA TRUST from 26thJanuary to 20thFebruary.

Forty one male and female participants enthralled their audience with Indian songs, music andKuchipudi dance. They also introduced Sahaja yoga and Meditation to the new seekers andshared stories about their spiritual Self-Realization.

The YOGDHARA TOUR 2017 visited 15 cities in seven states in the Northand North East ofIndia and gave a total of 21 concerts. The states were Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha,West Bengal, Assam and Sikkim.

Lucknow University and Jharkhand University also hosted Yogdhara. The Governor ofJharkhand was the Chief Guest for the Public Concert in Ranchi. The Ranchi University hostedYogdhara 2017 at the Ranchi Women’s College. The Principal Secretary to the Governor andVice Chancellor was the Chief Guest.

These India Tours were very inspiring to the new seekersand have created a movement to spreadSahajayoga and Meditation to help more people gain spiritual enlightenment. It has helped tobring together and improve the relationship between foreign and Indian Sahaja yoga movement.The National Trust is committed to organize more such tours in the years to come.

Collective marriages are held in a verybeautiful manner following the Sahaja culture with Sahaja Mantras as taught by Our DivineMother.
