    Plan of action

    The following objectives are included in the action plan prepared for enhancing quality

    during the academic year 2010-2011.

    To establish new research centers and computer laboratories in the college

    To carry out the extension activities on a larger scale.

    To pursue the objectives stated in part ‘C’ of the AQAR (2006-2007)

    Part B 1. Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the institute:

  • The IQAC activities were planned with the objective of fulfilling the need of higher

    education for students in rural area, thereby developing the intellectual potential of the students

    through a rich and extensive academic experience. This objective was successfully achieved to a

    considerable extent during the year.

    2. New academic programmes initiated (U G and PG):

    3] Innovations in curricular design and transaction

    . A number of teachers are working on different bodies like the Board of Studies at the

    university level. These teachers have contributed significantly in the process of curricular design

    and transaction. Though the curriculum of the regular course is set by the university, each

    department tries to use innovative methods of teaching and learning. Departmental activities like

    field trips and group discussions are organized regularly.

    4] Inter – disciplinary programmes started

    The following programmes were continued

    1) Degree Course: B C A, 2) Career Oriented Courses in- i) Horticulture

    ii ) Digital electronics iii ) Farming of Medicinal Plants

    5] Examination reforms implemented

    As the college is affiliated to the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, the

    University conducts the examinations and the university examination plan is executed with

    utmost care at the institution. However the method of continuous testing and evaluation has been

    s adopted by the college. It has been made mandatory to hold at least of one class test in each

    term for each paper. In addition, the pre-annual examination is held as per the directive of the

    university.

    1). A relevant theme is selected each year for the annual magazine of the college. Articles on the particular theme are invited from the students in the beginning of the academic year .Significant articles are thereafter included in the magazine. This practice has earned the magazine awards at the university level as well as at state level. It has received the Best Magazine award from the university continually in the past two academic years(2005-06&2006-07)

    The College has a glorious tradition of excellent results at the HSC level .Each year a number of

    students acquire high ranking position in the HSC examination .Continuing this tradition Shri

    Sushil Konda has secured Second place in the state at the H.S.C. examination 2007.The college

    conducts special preparatory classes for the entrance examination of medical and engineering

    courses. A large number of students have qualified in the entrance over the past three years.

    Shri Vilasraoji Deshmukh, Honourable Chief Minister ,Maharashtra State along with Shri

    Balasaheb Thorat,Minister for Agriculture visited the college on 17 June,2007to felicitate the

    Meritorious students. The foundation stones of Women’s Hostel building and Taluka Sports
