Peninsula Players in College

Peninsula Soccer Club wants to congratulate Galaxy Players Vidhu Raj and Evan Snodgrass for their recent commitments to play collegiate soccer!

Vidhu Raj is excited to announce his commitment to Willamette University on a partial scholarship. Vidhu is in his tenth year as a Peninsula player. While he started in the club as a midfielder, he now commands the back line for Galaxy Blue as a center back. Raj has been one of the Galaxy's most consistent players, is a huge leader on the field, and is looking to win his 4th league championship in 2 years. He currently holds a 3.7 GPA at San Mateo High school, where he has been a 3-year varsity starter. Congratulations to Vidhu!

Evan Snodgrass is excited to announce his commitment to Menlo College on a partial scholarship. Evan has been an attacking threat for Peninsula for the past two years. He has incredible quickness and the ability to beat players 1 v 1. He's a consistent goal scorer and integral part of the Galaxy team. Evan helped lead Hillsdale High School to the CCS Semi-Finals this season. He carries a 3.0 GPA there. Evan hopes to finish his club career with another league championship and a good showing at the regional tournament in Seattle, in June.

"It's an exciting time for these boys. Committing to College is a big step in a young man's life. They have set a great example for some of the younger players in our club that have aspirations to play in College. That hard work and dedication pays off. I wish them both the best and I know that with their excellent work ethic and love for the game that they both will be successful at the next level."

-Peninsula Galaxy Coach Mike Sharabi
