They include Member Profile Nada Abdelmagid Nada Abdelmagid Nada is an Assistant Professor in Humanitarian Health Practice and PhD candidate at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is a medical doctor and epidemiologist with extensive experience in public health programming in humanitarian settings. Nada is also a founding member of the Sudan COVID-19 Research Group, a collaboration between Sudanese youth activists and humanitarian and public health academics. Nada Abdelmagid  Nada Abdelmagid  Nada is an Assistant Professor in Humanitarian Health Practice and PhD candidate at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Mohamed  Elshabik Mohamed  Elshabik  Mohamed Elshabik, (MSc Public Administration and Development –University of Birmingham) Mohamed was the Undersecretary for the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the first Sudan Transitional Government (Sept 2019). He is a writer, socio-political analyst, and humanitarian and development practitioner. Other areas of expertise; social protection, civil society, democratization, peacebuilding and social cohesion. He is currently the director of Sudan House for Humanitarian and Development Studies. email: [email protected]

Dr. Amira Ahmed Dr. Amira Ahmed  Dr. Amira Ahmed is both a scholar and practitioner in the area of diaspora engagement, migration, refugees & human trafficking. Dr. Ahmed is currently based at the American University in Cairo and teaches courses on social anthropology, community development, & migration. She has worked for IOM in Egypt and Jordan. Recent publications include: co-author, chapter book “Skills for Science Systems in Africa: The Case of Brain Drain” (eds.) 2021.

Dr. Hatim Mohammed Almahdi

Dr. Hatim Mohammed Almahdi Yagoub. BDS, MFDRCSI, MSc, PhD Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, College of Dentistry, King Faisal University.  Experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, with highly-regarded university teaching experience. Prof. Munzoul Assal  Prof. Munzoul Assal  Munzoul Assal is Professor of social anthropology and former Director of the Peace Research Institute, University of Khartoum. He is also a Professor at the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Bergen, Norway, where he leads a NORAD- funded project on South Sudanese refugees in Ethiopia, Sudan, and Uganda. He is an expert on migration and diaspora with focus on African diaspora. Major publications on diaspora include Diaspora within and without Africa: Homogeneity, heterogeneity, variation (Uppsala: Nordic Africa Institute, 2006), and ‘Sticky labels or rich ambiguities: diaspora and challenges of homemaking for Somalis and Sudanese in Norway’ (BRIC: University of Bergen, 2004). Prof Assal is a member of the Board of Trustees, the Arab Council for Social Sciences.

Mubarak Maman Mubarak Maman  Mubarak is Clinical Psychologist by profession, his current role International Child Safeguarding Director for MEEE Regions. Maman has extensive skills and substantial experience in technical and managerial supervision of Child Safeguarding/protection and child rights programming. He has worked on building and strengthening child protections and safeguarding systems in Africa, Asia and East Europe.
