Position STORE KEEPER

Department Materials

Reporting to Foreman

Responsibility Receiving, stowing & issuing all material ordered to replenish the stock

inventory.

Assist the warehouse foreman in maintaining the warehouse stocks in

clean and tidy condition.

Scrutinize, check & query as necessary all material requisitions submitted

for stock items.

Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard

are strictly followed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

Preferred Competencies

Good spoken & written English.

Basic knowledge of Materials used in ship repair and yard maintenance.

Knowledge of stock systems and material coding will be an added

advantage.

Computer literate.

Good typing skills will be an added advantage.

Experience

At least 3 years experience.
