Fun-loving, adventurous, loyal, and wise beyond her years, Anna lived her short life to the fullest. A car accident took her life on January 31, 2006. In her honor, Anna’s parents, Dave and Carole, established the “Anna Schenker Memorial Scholarship” for U-Rock students. Dave and Carole began collecting old Christmas tree lights and recycling the copper to raise scholarship funds. Mocha Moment has had a tub the last couple years for old lights. Some local groups have stepped in to help build the scholarship. Anna’s sister, Abby, now works for Mocha Moment. On Sunday, November 3, Abby will lead Mocha Moment’s benefit for the scholarship. Thanks, Abby. Many of our Mocha Moment community wish we were open on Sundays. To the public, Sunday is just a regular day of business. The difference, however, is that Mocha Moment will contribute 100% of gross sales, plus donations from our Mocha Moment community.

Anna Schenker Memorial Scholarship

Anna was a great kid, lovely daughter, ambitious student (Parker honor roll, UW-Rock Dean’s list), snow boarder, and Mocha Moment regular.
