Animal Sounds BINGO What do you hear?

BINGO offers a fun way to practice listening for sounds and target use of the word hear using WordPower™. Pages containing animals and their sounds are found in the groups section of WordPower files.

1. Print different BINGO boards for each player. Laminate so you can reuse. 2. Print call out sheets and call out marker cards. Laminate for reuse. One will be cut

up and used as call out cards. 3. Device: Use the Chat Editor™, NovaChat®, ChatFusion™, TouchChat® Express, or

TouchChat® app with WordPower to play the animal sounds selected as callouts. Animal sounds are found in other WordPower files.

Play the game:

1. Provide each player with a different BINGO board, a sentence starter to match their language system, and some type of space marker. (BINGO chips, candy, paper squares, etc.)

2. Place the cut up call out cards in a hat, bowl or other container.

3. The caller will pull out one call out card, press the corresponding animal sound on the device. Repeat the sound as necessary.

4. The player will say what they hear and check their board to see if they have the associated animal. WordPower42 Basic, 60 Basic, and the 108 w/Keyboard have core embedded in the animal sound pages allowing you to stay on the page and use the core. Other files will require starting from the home screen to say “I hear” and depending on the number of buttons on the page, it may require multiply page navigation to find “hear.”

5. If the player finds the correct animal, he/she will mark their BINGO board. Three

marked squares in a row will be a winner!
