• Whentheangleheadismountedinmachinespindleorinitstoolmagazine,besureitisnotoverheatedandthespindlerotationislockedhandlingitinanyway,

• Whentheangleheadistobeused,ensureitsdrivetaperiscorrectlymatedtothemachinespindle,thearresterarmandblockengagefullandproperlyandthatthecuttingtoolisclampedtightlybeforeengagingmachinespindledrive

• Checkthedirectionofcutterrotationiscorrectbeforecuttingmetal.

• Takecarewhensettingupangleheads.Theyareconstructedofironandsteel,arerelativelyheavyandcaninjurepersonnel,animals,ordamagepropertyifdropped.

ATTENTION!!!-Theincorrectuseoftheheaddueto:exceededtorqueduringmachining,nonobservanceoftheinstructions/regulationsforthecoolantthroughtools,longtermoftheunitincoldandhumidenvironmentandthelackofgeneralmaintenancecancauseseriousdamagenotonlytotheunitbutalsotothemachineandtheoperator.

Ashortrun-inoftheheadisaccomplishedduringthetesttocheckallcomponentsforsatisfactoryoperation.Thenforthefirst150workinghours,thereisanoticeableincreaseinthetemperature,asallinternalrotatingpartsneedstobesettled/adjusted.Duringthisstageof“run-in”itisnotpossibletoruntheheadathigherRPMasithasnotwarmupyet.ThereforeitisveryimportanttostartrunningtheheadatlowerRPMandstepbystepincreasethespeed.Asperourchartbelow.

INSTALLATION OF THE FLANGE

FASE 1

Secure the shank onto the head through the M10 screw inside of the shankMount the head into the machine spindle

FASE 2

Measure dimension “X”Remove the head from the machine spindle and build a spacer with dimensions “X” + 0.5-0.6mm, and that can be mounted between the spindle and the universal flangeRemove screw M10 which secure the taper to the head

WARNING!! – If the above instructions are not clear enough, please refrain from mounting the head on the machine and ask the manufacturer for more information.

In order to mount the angle head on the machine, please follow the instructions below:

Mount the head together with the flange and spacer and screw to the machine with at least 3 screws.In this way the drive nuts are only driving the head and the bearings inside of the head will not be overloaded.

ruotare il corpo fino a raggiungere grossolanamente la posizione desiderata

bloccare a fondo le sei viti.

Perdisporrel’utensilesullaTDUnellaposizioneperfettamenteorizzontale,verticaleointermedia,agirecomesegue:

mettere la TDU in macchina

fissare nella posizione a 90° il supporto portautensili, utilizzando la spina di riferimento o la scala graduata presenti sul supporto stesso

allentare le 6 viti indicate e far ruotare il corpo fino a raggiungere grossolanamente la posizione desiderata

fissare nel cono portautensili un mandrino con albero rettificato

perfezionare il posizionamento con l’aiuto di un comparatore a puntale piatto, facendolo scorrere sul fianco dell’albero rettificato

serrare a fondo le 6 viti indicate.

Perilposizionamentodelsupportoportautensileagirecomesegue:

FASE 1allentare le 4 viti e posizionare il supporto come desiderato riferendosi alla scala graduata presente su un lato del supporto stesso

FASE 2far scorrere un comparatore su una delle fasce rettificate presenti sui lati del supporto, in modo da verificare. Ed eventualmente correggere, la posizione. Per il posizionamento sugli assi orizzontale e verticale è possibile utilizzare la spina di riferimento presente sul supporto ed i relativi fori praticati sul corpo testa

FASE 3avvitare le 4 viti e bloccarle con la chiave a brugola in dotazione, senza usare prolunghe

TCUevery500workinghours;30-50ggreasethroughtheopeningaccessibleafterremovalofguard77(Fig.10).Ifabundantcoolantisused,dotodirecttheflowontheheadbecausetheTCUmodelisnotcoolanttight.Alsocheckforsufficientgreasemorefrequently.

Keeptothesuggestedtimeintervalsandgreasequantities.Poororexcessivelubricationcouldbeharmful.
