What is SCAP?
Site Cleanup Assistance Program
Started in 2006 to remediate Oklahoma National Guard armories and orphan sites
Program Goal: to remediate armories and return to the local community for unlimited use
Environmental Assessments
• DEQ performs a Targeted Brownfield Assessment – includes soil and indoor firing range (IFR) lead sampling
• DEQ consultant provide inspection reports
• Lead contaminated dust (from IFR)
• Asbestos
• Lead-based paint

• High levels of lead contaminated dust tracked and settled throughout armories
• IFR cleanup goal of below 200 ug/SF
