• Floor Leaders’ Office Intern: January 2015 - Present Employed by the State of Georgia, this internship heavily involved interpersonal, clerical, and organizational skills while working for four Senators and four Representatives. Duties Included: Addressing constituent concerns via phone and electronic communication, scheduling and attending meetings, office and administrative services, public relations, problem solving, bill summarization, and other constituent services.
• Community Leader: January 2014 - January 2015
Working in the Residential Education Department of Georgia Southern University, this position is often called an ‘RA’ or Resident Assistant. Duties Included: Building a sense of community, administrative/desk work, first responder, common space beautification, problem solving, public relations, event planning, and team building. • Data Center Operator: Summer 2013, 2014 Employed by Travelers Insurance, as a summer intern, working in the Department of Data Center Services Duties Included: Secretarial Duties, Tape operations, inventory, physical labor, installation and de-installation of servers, cables, patch panels, and wire management trays.
• Independent Outdoor Contractor: 3 summers (2010-2012) Working for Forsyth County running “Adventure Camps” in which a dozen students ages 10-15 were put in my charge for a week of white water rafting, rock climbing, canoeing and mountain biking and other outdoor activities. Duties Included: Game organizer, inventory and equipment management, supervision of children, daily interaction with parents, conflict resolution, and any other necessary duties.
