Our Noteworthy Cards were once again on

display at the Anderson Center Harvest

Festival and Open House. We were excit-

ed to see so many families and staff members

stopping by the booth. I am happy to say that

our cards were very well received!

Harvest Festival and Open House A blue sky and Fall leaves graced this year’s An-

derson Center Harvest Festival and Open

House (Oct. 17). Students, family members, staff

and the community came out to enjoy the beauti-

ful weather and to have some fun, music and food.

A good time was had by all!

The art room was open and I had the opportunity

to meet and talk with the families of many of our

students. I was very pleased with the turnout.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to talk

with the families of Ray P. (Rm. 411), Charles S.

(Rm. 309), Brandon B. (Rm. 311), Ryan J. (Rm.

308) & Courtney C. (Rm. 313), Hunter S. (Rm.

311) and Kyler P. (Rm. 312). Thanks for coming!!

Maple Leaf Borders

Artist Birthdays for November November 14 — Claude Monet (1840)

November 15 — Georgia O’Keeffe (1887)

November 26 — Charles Schulz (1922)

November 28 — William Blake (1757)

Poppies

Students also created colorful

maple leaves to be used as bor-

ders for various bulletin boards

around the school, including the

“Art News” board (near the

cafeteria), my two classroom

boards (art room—416), and

the hall board (outside the OT

office).

They were created using the same

process as the “Oak Leaves”

project (liquid watercolor paints

in spray bottles over crayon).

In honor of Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11th)

and the birthday of artist Georgia

O’Keeffe (Nov. 15), students created

three different paintings of “Poppies.”
