RED BLUE BALANCEMr McFall’s Chamber, strings and jazz trio, are joined by Maximiliano Martín, principal clarinet with Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

New commissions by jazz pianist, Paul Harrison, and by funk band leader, Mike Kearney, are premiered along with Vivian Barty-Taylor’s mould-breaking and original use of natural tunings and rhythms in his Red Blue Balance. Also in the programme are works by Martin Kershaw, Tim Garland, and Frank Zappa.

Living by the railway line, the children spend quite a bit of time watching the trains and making some unexpected friendships, such as the old gentleman who regularly takes the 9.15 train and helps them solve the mystery of what happened to their father.
