Dear Parents and Carers, It was a great privilege to meet and welcome all our students back to school as their new Headteacher the first week of term. Our students looked incredibly smart and ready for learning as they arrived. It was parcularly great to see many of our girls in our new skirt and we have received a great deal of posive feedback regarding the change. There have been a number of other changes within the school building and we are very pleased with the new student toilets completed during the summer closure. The start of a new academic year is also an opportune moment to reflect on recent achievements and we were delighted with the results secured by students at both GCSE and A-level. At a me of naonally reported uncertainty over results this year, we are able to report notable improvement in all our key measures. A great reward for students and staff for all their hard work. We start our school tours for Year 6 students and parents this week and I would encourage you to share all our good news stories with the local community. Dear Parents and Carers,

It was a great privilege to meet and welcome all our students back to school as their new Headteacher the first week of term.

Our students looked incredibly smart and ready for learning as they arrived. It was particularly great to see many of our girls in our new skirt and we have received a great deal of positive feedback regarding the change. There have been a number of other changes within the school building and we are very pleased with the new student toilets completed during the summer closure.

The start of a new academic year is also an opportune moment to reflect on recent achievements and we were delighted with the results secured by students at both GCSE and A-level. At a time of

nationally reported uncertainty over results this year, we are able to report notable improvement in all our key measures. A great reward for students and staff for all their hard work.

We start our school tours for Year 6 students and parents this week and I would encourage you to share all our good news stories with the local community. Please remember to check our website on a regular basis as we are continually updating our news and events section.

Bromfords’ Beetle Triumphs at Fords The prestigious Ford’s Dunton Apprenticeship challenge for 2017 was won by the Bromfords’ Year 10 team (Oscar Bond, Daniel Foley, Max Giddens, Tom Goldstone and Josh Jadav). The team called ‘Brom-Fords’ was judged on their presentation skills, design and build of a mechanical car with a braking system. The car had to carry an egg down a ramp and stop without crashing into a wall or breaking the egg. Out of eleven teams from local schools Bromfords came first in both the IT Challenge and the overall best team prize. This is part of their work related aspect of their careers education and they were supported by Mr Aldous and Mr Lee in the Tech department. Well done to all involved.
