Even though I flunked out of high school my senior year I always did well in history.One of the first things I learned about the bible out side my local church was about thebeast of Daniel I had a old history book at home when I was just out of high school

and it went over the history of ruling kingdoms in Europe and most of the civilized worldat that time. I was familiar with who the kingdoms were but one day I was reading Danieland it clicked about the four beast how Daniel foretold about those kingdoms and historyproved it.

The four kingdoms of Daniel 7:17 These great beasts, which are four,are four kings,

which shall arise out of the earth.

Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,

which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall

tread it down, and break it in pieces.Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole

heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High,whose kingdom is an everlastingkingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Daniel describes 4 world ruling empires that would run the world with the 4 th being the last worldruling empire before Jesus return.

From that old history book I was aware of the fact that the Roman empire was the 4th

beast Daniel was talking about but something was missing the Roman empire came andgone and Jesus didnt return the way the prophesy stated in Daniel.

But there is a key to understand what happened to the 4 th Beast.

The Key:Rev:Chapter 13:1-4 And I saw one of his heads as it werewounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all theworld wondered after the beast.

And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: andthey worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who isable to make war with him?

Here its stating the 4th beast of the Roman empire was killed but will

come back to life right before Jesus return..

but there is also something else about the beast shown in Revelationsas well.

The elegant clothing and jewelry of the woman show her wealth andattractiveness, but her activities are filthy and abominable to God. Her mysteryname is Babylon the Great verse 5. Ancient Babylon is a type or prefigure of thisfuture Babylon. Babylon the CityThe harlot will do what literal Babylon did in thepast:

(1) Oppress God's people, and(2) Propagate a false religious system. November 1095 by Pope Urban II with the primary goal of

responding to an appeal from Byzantine EmperorAlexios I Komnenos, whorequested that western volunteers come to his aid and help to repel theinvading Seljuq Turks from Anatolia. An additional goal soon became theprincipal objectivethe Christian reconquest of the sacred city of Jerusalem andthe Holy Land and the freeing of the Eastern Christians from Islamic

rule.

During the crusade, knights andpeasants from many nations ofWestern Europetraveled over land and by sea, first to Constantinople and then on towardsJerusalem. The Crusaders arrived at Jerusalem, launched an assault on the city,and captured it in July 1099, massacring many of the city's Muslim, Christian,and Jewish inhabitants. They also established the crusader states of the Kingdom ofJerusalem, the County of Tripoli, the Principality of Antioch, and the County ofEdessa.

Because the First Crusade was largely concerned with Jerusalem, a city whichhad not been under Christian dominion for 461 years, and the crusader armyrefused to return the land to the control of the Byzantine Empire, the status ofthe First Crusade as defensive or as aggressive in nature remains controversial.

The Spanish Inquisition Seal In Spain

Chapter 3 The Woman And The NazisThe woman that rides the beast can be seen in modern times as well WWII and the

Nazis.

As Nazi Germany blitzkrieg the rest of Europe they always always robbed raped and

plundered were ever they went, but once they got to the gates of the Vatican a strangething occurred they stopped and never entered.

The Vatican even in the 1940s held great wealth many priceless paintings,statues and

ancient documents,not to mention untold millions of dollars worth of gold silver and

diamond gemstone jewelry.

In 1933 The Vaticans secretary of state, Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli (the futurePope Pius XII), and Germanys vice chancellor, Franz von Papen, formallysigned a concordat between the Holy See and the German Reich on July 20,1933. This event ended negotiations that began after Adolf Hitler became

Germanys chancellor on Jan. 30, 1933. Among the witnesses to this event wereMsgr. Giovanni Battista Montini (the future Pope Paul VI) and Msgr. LudwigKaas, the leader of Germanys Catholic Center Party. Neither Pope Pius XI norHitler attended the meeting; both had already approved of the concordat. Thepope ratified the agreement two months later on Sept. 10. The Concordat of 1933specified the churchs rights in the Third Reich.The political significance of the signing of the Concordat of 1933 was, however,ambiguous in its day and still remains so. Hitler interpreted the concordat tomean that he had won the churchs approval, thereby gaining internationalrecognition of his Nazi regime.

The Woman And Her Daughters

The Vatican and the Roman Catholic Church lost many members as well as power andprestige due to the Protestant reformation so in the 1500s to counter the Protestants

Ignatius Loyola founded the Jesuit Priest.

In 1521 Loyola fought in the army ofCharles V. While defending Pampuna hewas hit by a cannonball and badly damaged his left leg. While recovering fromthis injury, he suffered a crisis believing that his life seemed purposeless. Hetook to reading about the life of Christ and the Saints. He saw a vision of theVirgin Mary and the baby Jesus and he went to the shrine of Our Lady at

Montserrat inAragonand became a hermit living in a cave near Mantua in 1522.He spent his time in rags confessing and scourging himself whilst helping thesick. "I will follow like a puppy dog if I can only find a way to salvation ."Loyola threw himself at the mercy of God and this crisis (be it psychological ornot) is similar to what Luther went through.

However, unlike Luther, he found his salvation in Mystical Experiences and notin theScriptures. He was willing to accept the beliefs already available so he felt nodesire to develop a new creed. He had complete obedience to the CatholicChurch and its faith.

In 1523, he went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem as he wished to communicate hislove and knowledge to others. He intended a mission to the Turks but he wassent back by the Franciscans to Italy. He spent the next seven years learning

Theology and Latin at Barcelona, Alcara and Salamanca and after this he wentto the college of Montaigu in Paris. He arrived in Paris at the same time as JohnCalvinwas leaving!

While in Paris he collected around himself six companions. Xavier, who was aBasque, three men from Castille, one from Savoy and a Portugese. In 1534 theyall swore an oath of poverty, chastity and obedience to the pope. They made apromise to go to Palestine if the pope agreed to this. Loyola was ordained as apriest in Venice in 1537. Here he helped the sick and the poor. After Venice,

Loyola went to Rome. He could not go to Palestine as the Muslim Turks barredhis way. In Rome he met many other Counter-Reformers.

In September 1540, Pope Paul III licensed the Society of Jesus for the care ofsouls in life and for teaching and preaching the faith. Loyola felt that he had tostart a fresh order rather than work within an already existing one as existentorders were tainted.

In 1541, Loyola was elected as first General of the Society - a position he helduntil his death in 1556. Training in the Society was long and hard. You were a

novice for two years doing theory and practical work in hospitals. You went onpilgrimages and you had to spend time begging. If you passed this part, you

then spent between 10 and 12 years as a scholar studying Theology, Philosophyand the Humanities. You also learn t how to teach others.

Loyolas "Constitutions" did not reach its final form until 1558. This laid downthe rules for the Society

1) The Jesuits were to be at the disposal of the pope.2) They were to go wherever he ordered them to go to save souls.3) They were never to accept a bishopric etc. unless the pope ordered it.4) They were to wear no special habit.5) There were to be no special mortifications, e.g. no fasting without amedical report.6) They were excused from communal prayer and masses.

7) All members were to take the three traditional monastic vows. An elitewould take a fourth vow of

direct obedience to the pope if he sent them on a foreign mission.8) Faith was to be spread by preaching, spiritual exercises, charity andeducation in Christianity.

Loyolas other major work was "Spiritual Exercises". This he had begun in 1522and it was completed in 1548. This was designed for Jesuits to become mystics

and to have less attachment to things of the world. It informed Jesuits on how"to master the soul to manipulate the body."

A series of mental exercises was developed concentrating on sin andconscience, on the life of Christ - directing the mind to complete union with Him.It outlined the correct posture for meditation. These exercises toughened themind for the work that was to follow. Loyola placed high value on meditation buthe was also an active and able organizer.

Like Luther, his conversion was a emotional experience and like Calvin he had an

iron logic which placed an emphasis on education and a desire to create apowerful spiritual religious order that was, nevertheless, realistic in its approach.

All Jesuits had a sense of commitment, a capacity for organization and a high

level of intellectual ability and this helped to preserve and transmit much of thenew learning of the Renaissance.

The Jesuits were held in such high regard that popes sent them into the heart ofProtestantism to "win back lost souls". They went without dissent despite theobvious dangers to their own wellbeing and liberty. Their commitment, asLoyola had demanded, was fierce possibly even fanatical.

In England, it was a Jesuit priest (John Gerrard) who despite being terriblytortured managed to escape from the Tower of London and, after recovering,

continued with his work. Xavier, one of the original Jesuits, went to the Far Eastto convert the population despite the obvious and real dangers to himself.

Even catholic countries had reason to fear the Jesuits.
