RULES. 1.-The name of Ihis Combination of Clubs is "THE

NORTII Of ENGLAND NA'I'1ONAl. BASEIIAI..L LUGt.'!!:" and is, in these Rules, referred to as "TilE LEAGUE."

2.-The H~dquanen of the l.ea.iue shall be U1 Manchester.

3.-The League shall consist of clubs Ihu are willing to conionn to the bye-laws of this League and the laws of the game. The Council shaU have p<:IW~ to divide the clubs into divisions.

4.- Applications for membership mmt be by notice in writing senr 10 the Secretary of the League not later than 31st March in c.l(;h year.

5.-Any casual vacam ... 'Y occurring in the mem~rship of the League may be filled by the Council.

6.-The Annual Subscription shall be TWO Guineas, which mUSt be paid on or b<:fore the 14th of April in each year. Each Club, upon clcx:tion to membership, slwll pay a deposit fee of one j:lwnen, whkh shall be returned UPOD resiSt!lng or ceasing membership of the League, provided that the Club 1i0 retiring s/t.111 have fai thfully discharged ilS duties and obligalions to the League.

7.-The Council shall from time 10 time be empowered, by levy or otherwise, to require the Clubs of the uague to contribute (in equal ~harcs) such sum or sums of money to the funds of the Les!gue as rruty be nccc:ssaI)' for the proper «Indutt of the business of th~ Lcagu~.

8.-The AnnUllI General M~eting of tht League shall be held during the month (If Septcmber in each year.
