Central image: Use of black and white clothing has a good contrast with the colours and fonts Masthead: the fact that it has been placed behind the central image signifies that it is of less importance but still attracts the audience to the other yellow Coverline. Flash: the pink paint is very eye catching and contrasts with the whole FC as it is the only place with pink on it. Tagline: just to inform the audience who the person on the FC is.

Slanting a story: “smoking salvia” ? The use of the question mark gives relevance to some readers and makes them feel part of something by interacting with the text

Central image: The use of red and blue has great relevance to all the text as it is colour co-ordinated. This is appealing to the audience as it is easy on the eyes.

Masthead: good use of colours, all match with her costume & text.

Coverline: I think using the text “She’s 15 & pregnant” as a coverline is very eye catching and will instantly draw the consumer in. the use of blue text makes it easy on the eyes.

Graphic feature: this is here to justify its importance and second thing you see on the contents page.

Central image: medium /close shot. Telling you that they are the super kings and they hold the most importance on the contents page

Buzz word : exclusive, is suggesting that this story is on no other magazine

Coverline: this is eye catching and talks about two main stories that are mentioned below. Could be a lot more detailed and more effort would be required for it to be great.

Flash: isn’t quite clear on what not to miss. I presume its about reading and Leeds festival. Stands out due to different colour

Contact information. Least important thing on page. The shape ruins the text formality and colour scheme is too relaxed..

Header. Table of content is a different way to describe the “contents page” and has used the table affect for all the headlines. This creates a great relevance to the text already and looks professional

Central image: the style in which this has been organised makes the contents page stand out and contrasts the graphic features, which are set out in the same way. This is clear that it is targeting college students due to the fact that their are students, team based in the photo.

Two Graphic features: they show less importance than the central image but still reflect importance. This is shown by photos of students in college and a photo of the college but still they have the same page number.

Headlines/coverlines: these are set out in a “table” like manor which reflects to the header. This shows professionalism towards the layout of the magazine and all of the headlines are done aligned.

Frequency: volume and issue date are stated here. Positioned in a good place & 09 could be referred from year 2009
