Once upon a time a fisherman dropped a newspaper into a lake.

Kerran vanha sanomalehti putosi kalastajalta järveen.

An old fish that had avoided fisherman's traps for ages and thus was stressed, read that going to sauna makes you relaxed.

Vanha kala, joka oli ikänsä vältellyt kalastajaa ja oli siitä stressaantunut, luki lehdistä, että saunassa käynti rentouttaa.

So the old fish decided to build an under-water sauna.

Niinpä hän päätti rakentaa saunan veden alle.

The fisherman wondered what steam rises from the lake into sky.

Kalastaja ihmetteli miksi järvestä nousee höyryä taivaaseen.

The steam rose into clouds. The clouds became bigger and it started to rain in mountains.

Liika löyly nousi pilveen. Niin pilvet tulivat suuremmiksi ja vuoristossa alkoi sataa.

A flood came in the morning and the fisherman's house partially sank into water. The old fish was worried.

Aamulla tuli tulva ja kalastajan talo peittyi veteen. Vanha kala siitä huolestui.

He swam into the house and dragged the fisherman's beard, so that he would wake up, cause sleeping under water is not healthy.

Hän ui taloon ja veti kalastajaa parrasta, jotta tämä heräisi, sillä veden alla nukkuminen ei ole terveellistä.

The fisherman woke up gladly and invited the old fish to have a cup of tea. He noted that he and the old fish are much like each other. So

they became friends for the rest of their lives.

Kalastaja heräsi iloisena ja kutsui vanhan kalan kahvipöytään. Hän huomasi, että hän ja vanha kala ovat loppujen lopuksi melko

samanlaisia. Niin heistä tuli ystävät loppuelämäksi.
