Between 1960-61 and 2013-14, the growth rate

in power was 3.81% to reach 2.02 kW/ha. The

adoption and application of package of farm

    machinery and technology for agricultural

    mechanization has significantly contributed to

improve the cropping intensity and farm

produce during the last 40 years and its positive

relationship with availability and growth ofFarm power is depicted

In India, it has been more of tractorization, while farm mechanizatio

in the sense of small machinery has largely been un-tapped, but no

the scenario has changed. The Indian tractor industry is the largest

the world and accounts for one third of global production. The sale

tractors has grown at a CAGR of 11% from 247,351 in 2004-05

696,523 in 2013-14 and to 551,463 in 2014-15; Similar is trend fo

    power tillers also.

With various challenges facing the Farming Industry and

farmers, Mechanization is one big solution to solve

various issues of the farmers. With the changing weather

patterns, ever shifting farm labor force from villages to

urban areas, shrinking land holdings, changing eating

habits, growing population and increasing farmers debt

and suicides, increasing the yield/productivity has

become more and more important! To achieve that, it is

important that all the Agricultural machinery Industry

and the relevant people from all over the world meet, discuss and evolve with the new Ideas, innovations and

action plan for the best innovations, technology sharing,

manufacturing methods, co-operations with the best

policies and actions to support the Goal of supporting the

    Industry and farming community.

This meet is organized with the 3 days conference onthe above to present, discuss and evolve withsolutions and action plan with all the stakeholderswith the third day especially with all the RegionalAgri Machinery Associations and also to exhibit thetechnologies through the trade fair at TAME 2016,AMMA Pavilion, Agri Intex 2016

Coimbatore also known as Kovai, is a city in India. It is

the second largest city and urban agglomeration in theIndian state of Tamil Nadu, after Chennai and the

sixteenth largest urban agglomeration of India. The city

is situated on the banks of the river Noyyal. Coimbatore

existed even prior to the 2nd Century AD as a small tribal

village capital called Kongunad until it was brought

under Chola control in the 2nd or 3rd Century AD by

Karikalan, the first of the early Cholas. When Kongunad

fell to the British along with the rest of the state, its name

was changed to Coimbatore and it is by this name that is

known today, except in Tamil, in which it is called Kovai.

The rick black soil of the region has contributed toCoimbatore's flourishing agriculture industry and, it is in

fact, the successful growth of cotton has served as a

foundation for the establishment of its famous textile

    industry. According to ancient manuscripts,

Coimbatore's history can be traced to the Irula tribal

chief Kovan and his clan who were it's earliest settlers

and the founders of "Kovanpatti" a part of Kongunadu.

Years later, the surrounding forests were cleared, and a

new village was formed called "Kovanputhur", which

over the years came to be known as "Coimbatore".In spite of it's prominence as a bustling industrial city,

Coimbatore still remains one of the most pollution free

cities in India. Covering an area of 23.5 square

kilometers, the city houses some of the biggest names in

Indian Industry. The major industries include textiles,

    textile machinery, automobile spares, motors,

electronics, steel and aluminium foundries. Tirupur - a

neighbouring town has carved a niche for itself in the

garments market. Agriculture however remains the

major occupation. The rich fertile soil and tropical

climate is excellent for the growth of millet, paddy,

cotton, tea, oil seeds and tobacco.
