The Traditional RangeThe specifications of our Traditional Range provide extensivescope for the supply of purpose built kiosks, designed to meetcustomer requirements, suitable for a variety of applications andwidely contrasting environmental considerations.

Standard SizesWIDTHExternal - from 750mm in 250mm steps to 50 metres.DEPTHExternal - from 500mm in 250mm steps to 12 metres.HEIGHTInternal - 1200, 1400, 1650, 1900, 2150, 2300, then in 100mmsteps to four metres. Other/larger dimensions can be quoted.

Standard ConstructionMoulded in Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) compositeconstruction, totally encapsulating a rigid core. GRP laminate ismade from fire retardant structural polyester resin reinforced withchopped strand matt glassfibre.Standard core material is l2mm thick plywood, weather and boilproof to BS 1203. Other materials can be used to satisfy differentstructural/insulation requirements. Large panel areas are suitablyreinforced to maintain structural stability.Designed to comply with CP 3: Chapter 5/BS 6399 part 1, 1984wind, snow and seismic loadings and all other relevant BritishStandards. Standard fixing is through reinforced internal GRPflanges by expanding bolt system onto prepared bases. Externalflanges can be provided. Life expectancy is in excess of 30 years.

FinishesExternal: Traditional Brick, Stone and other Textured Finishes.Choice of colours from the BS 4800 or RAL range.A coloured isophthalic resin (Gelcoat) forms the external barriergiving an excellent weather and chemical resistance in theharshest of environments. Simulated Brick and Stone wall finishand simulated wood finish doors are available in a variety ofcolours to blend with particular environmental and architecturalbackgrounds.Standard internal finish is a white fire retardant resin. Otherinternal finishes can be provided.

DoorsAn extensive range of door sizes is available. Located in width ordepth walls, central or offset.Stainless steel (316) hinges are fitted to all doors. Hinges arefitted with stainless steel security fasteners in such a manner thatthey cannot be removed from outside the kiosk. Doors and doorframes have encapsulated steel reinforcements to providestiffness and a good degree of security. Door leaves are fitted withautomatic hold-open stays. Sills are protected with extruded alloycapping. The passive doorleaf of a double door is fitted withinternal top and bottom spring bolts.

Door LockingStandard locking is by cylinder nightlatch lock or stainless steel(Grade 316) Hasp and staple.Alternatively:- Locking to suit customer specification.

InsulationStandard construction provides ‘U’ value 2.2 W/m2CO. Higherlevels of insulation can be offered to meet building regulations orspecific requirements.

Fire RatingPanel construction complies with BS 476 Part 22, half hour fire resistance (Retention of stability, integrity and insulation).Fire retardant resin is used to provide self extinguishing laminates toBS 476 Part 7 Class 2 (Surface spread of flame). Other fire ratingscan be provided.

Sound AttenuationStandard composite core construction achieves noise attenuation of24dBA over octave band centre frequency range of 31.5Hz to 8KHzmeasured at 1.0m distance from wall. Other levels of attenuation upto 50dBA nominal acoustic performance can be offered by use of different constructions.

Environmental ProtectionDust, weather and splash-proof to a minimum of IP 54 protection rating.Higher degrees of protection can be provided to IP 55 and IP 65.

Environmental ControlAdequate natural ventilation can be provided by means of integralvents, fitted with bird and vermin screens. Forced ventilation tomeet specific requirements can be provided by suitable fans,complete with external weatherproof GRP cowl. Heating, air-conditioning and de-humidification can be provided.

ElectricsAll electrical installations are in accordance with the lEE regulationscurrent editions, encompassing domestic to Zone 1 as required.

Floors/basesSeveral options are available, ranging from integral compositeconstruction floors to steel channel baseframes complete withsteel plate decking.

QualityAll manufacture and customer service is controlled by an effectivequality assurance system, in line with the recommendations ofBS 5750/ISO 9000.
