ABOUT AMITY MOCK PARLIAMENT

Amity Mock Parliament is a simulation of the parliamentary proceedings of legislature and

executive, based upon the Indian Parliamentary system. AMP has been established to promote

the activities of community service programs and to advocate social or political change. Our aim

is to promote INDIA AMONGST INDIANS.

It is the place where legislators structure policies; framelaws, discuss and debate on issues that

affects the lives of trillions. Amity Mock Parliament is in its 4th Edition and seeks to endure the

democratic fabric of our country. Over the year the event has witnessed host of luminaries from

all walks of life, prominently social workers. The event has been graced by the grace of Sheila

Dixit, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Capt. Singh Solanki.

WHY AMITY MOCK PARLIAMENT?

• Amity Mock Parliament supports the concept of assemble, argue and assess.

• It also maintain Democracy and Growth & sustenance of Democratic institution through

deliberation and simulations.

• It also believes in the policy of “learn by doing”, it also useful in deciding how to become

more active citizen either inside or outside the formal politics.

• Amity Mock Parliament provide platform to participant to acquire or improve upon many

skills such as public speaking, debate, presentation, research and organisational skills, aiding

their personal development.

• It is a rewarding, memorable, enjoyable and educating experience for everyone.

Amity Mock Parliament 2020

The 6th Edition of Amity Mock Parliament 2020 shall be conducted on 26th & 27th March 2020 under the lead of the President Mr. Aman Kumar Singh. This Edition is expecting participation of up to 600 delegates – which shall be the highest of all editions yet. Another addition to our ideology is this years leading message – Inspire. Energize. Learn. Amity Mock parliament 2020 is hosting a total of five (5) committees: 1. Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment – Agenda: Deliberation on women Safety and Empowerment with special emphasis on rape laws and gender neutrality

2. All India Media Meet – Agenda: Strengthening the Fourth Pillar of Democracy: A step towards authentic, ethical and unbiased media reporting

3. Lok Sabha – Agenda: Review on Reservation Policy of India

4. Cabinet Security Meet – Agenda: Deliberation on Border disputes in relation to neighbouring countries of India

5. Press – Agenda: Journalists, Photographers, Caricaturists With successfully sustaining all previous tie-ups and getting new prestigious sponsorships to raise our Cash Prizes up to Rs.2 Lakhs and additional gift hampers for winners – we are optimistic that this Edition of Amity Mock Parliament is going to be the best version yet, and our team seeks to carry forward legacy with the same enthusiasm and passion to accomplish our vision and mission of creating #IndiaAmongstIndians
