CBSE NATIONAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP The School Chess team bagged 1st Position in National CBSE Chess Championship 2019 held at Mount Abu Public School, Sec -5, Rohini from 9th Nov to 12th Nov. The under 11 boys team members -Sparsh Bisht, Rachit Vaid, Arshpreet Singh and Abinav Singh were appreciated by the School Principal,
Dr Anshu Arora for their relentless efforts.

1st positon in Junior Western music and 3rd position in Senior dance.

Founder’s Day was celebrated in the school on 8th November, 2019 with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
The top five students from classes 5 to 11 were felicitated with an honour’s badge and scholarships.
Meritorious students of class X who tapped various subjects were also honoured with a memento. The
four prestigious trophies were awarded to students of class XII for their exemplary contribution to the
school. Ayush Gupta bagged the Dhananjay Mohan trophy, Simran Swaika lifted the coveted Baljit Shastri
Trophy. The Vedvati Vidyalankar Shield was given to Kartikey Vats for having the right values and Europa
Cup was awarded to Rishabh Yadav for his stellar performance in the field of sports. Dr. Stalin Malhotra,
Advisor (RBEF) presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest and Dr. TPS Chauhan, Manager Amity
Schools also graced the occasion with his presence.
A scintillating classical dance performance by the nimble footed dancers; depicting the values of BHAAG
mesmerized one and all.
The Principal, Dr. Anshu Arora congratulated the achievers and thanked the Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita
Chauhan and Founder President Sir, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan for providing the students with myriad
opportunities to showcase their excellence. The Headmistress (Sr.) Ms. Madhu Gulia proposed the vote of
thanks.

The school celebrated the Senior Sports Day on 18th November 2019 with a lot of zest and fervour. The students
from Class 6 to 11 participated in several events, both track and field, spread out over 3 days. Col. Ahluwalia,
Director (Sports), Amity Schools presided over the event as the Chief Guest. He gave away the medals and trophies
to the achievers. The Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan honours every National school achiever with a blazer to
motivate every Amitian to excel in the field of Sports. There were a total of 60 medal sets awarded to the winning
students. Best athletes from Classes 6 & 7, 8 & 9 and 10 & 11 were given trophies. The Principal, Dr. Anshu Arora
congratulated all the students and the Sports faculty for putting up a great event. She also thanked the Chairperson
for providing students with a plethora of sports activities. Mandakini house lifted the overall trophy for Sports.
Fun, food and frolic marked the Bal Mela celebrations at Amity International School, Sec 43, Gurgaon on 16th
November 2019.The children’s whole day long fiesta was held to commemorate the innocence of childhood on
the occasion of Children’s Day. The School Principal, Dr Anshu Arora inaugurated the event which was held to
give students an opportunity to unwind themselves and spend unforgettable time with their comrades. An
array of activities like making newspaper bags, flowers, bookmarks and headgears kept the children
constructively engrossed. There were a whole lot of mouthwatering delicacies to relish and tantalize the taste
buds. The day concluded with the distribution of the storybooks, to inculcate the habit and love for reading
amongst children. The Mela had something in store for everyone. The vibrancy of life pulsated as colour, music,
dance and yummy aroma filled the atmosphere. The zest and zeal exhibited by enthusiastic students made the
Bal Mela 2019 a memorable event. All the students were euphoric throughout the day and went back home
with happy memories to cherish for life.

Adventure Camp was organized in the school by
Rocksports for the students of classes Nursery to
IV on 25th November, 2019. It was a day of fun
and enjoyment for all. The students were ably
guided by the team of experienced volunteers to
do various activities like Burma Bridge,
Commando Net, Zorbing Ball, Lazer Bear, Wall
Climbing etc. Students enjoyed a lot and also
picked up many traits like team work, patience
and group bonding. The Chairperson Ma’am’s
vision of integrating education and learning with
games and skills shone through this activity. The
Principal, Dr. Anshu Arora spoke to the kids and
found they were really thrilled and thoroughly
enjoyed all the activities.

This month, the team of N-Plastica joined forces with the ‘Darkroom-The letter Writing Carnival’, together
with a letter-writing competition which was held in more than 60 schools. The spirited students wrote
letters to the Prime Minister of India, voicing their views on the ban on single-use plastics. Amity-43
ranked 1st and was felicitated with the distinction of reaching out to 60+ schools. Furthermore, the team
planted approximately 1,000 banana plants along with Ms. Bhavisha Buddhadeo. Working on the issue of
single-use plastics they associated with MCD School, Nathupur to spread awareness among the students.
The colorful graffitti left a lasting impression on the walls of the school. The YP team also interacted with
Ms. Natalia Vodianova (the fifth highest-paid Russian Calvin Klein Supermodel), Mr. Omar Itani (honored
2019 Young Champion of the Earth by Fabric AID) and UNEP supporters. This concern has also gained
international support from countries like Japan, Philipines, Lebanon, etc.
