organised by SD Adarsh Vidyalaya, Gurugram on 11th October 2019.
Shriya Pasricha and Anika Gupta of class V-C bagged the First position in 'Wizardry with Wand of Science', an event in the Inter school competition 'SCIFEST-THE
CATALYST' held on 15th October 2019.
The school team bagged 3rd position in the Quiz held at
HDFC School on 15th October 2019
Amity - 43 participated in an Inter School TAEKWONDO competition organised by DPS Maruti Kunj, where the school lifted the runners up trophy.

at IIT, Delhi on 20th Oct 2019
Amity International School Sec-43, Gurugram hosted the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ in association with The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited on 22 October 2019. In the Debate Competition, the school team won
first position. Simran Swaika and Anirudh Narwal spoke for and against the motion respectively. Vandita Goswami was the interjector from Amity 43. The glorious prizes sponsored by PGCIL were gift coupons of
Rs.6000, Rs. 4500 and Rs. 3500. The Youth Power team took the stage to aprised the audience about their noble initiative, ‘Say No to Plastic’ in the current year. The audience took a pledge to support this endeavour.

To pay homage to the revered ‘Father of the
Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi, A Prarthna Sabha
was organized wherein the students learnt
about the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and
promised to follow the path of truth and
peace shown by him.
The Dussehra assembly was held at AIS, Sec-
43, Gurugram on 4th Oct 2019. It was a
colorful display of the age old story of the
victory of good over evil depicted through a
‘Ramleela’. The children were enthralled as
Shri Ram Ji slayed Ravan and celebrated the
same with his triumphant Vanar Sena. The
children then pledged to remove all the evils
within them and strive to be better people.

Amity’s social work and public change initiative, Youth Power gives students the opportunity to work towards a
cause they believe in. Amity-43’s YP Team ‘नPlastica’ has taken major strides towards combating plastic pollution
and environmental degradation. The Team has conducted numerous in-house activities for the junior, middle and
senior student bodies to spread awareness and inculcate antiplastic conscious mindset. Furthermore, the team
rallied for their cause in various other schools in Delhi-NCR such as ‘Venkateshwar International School, Little Star
Public School, Govt. Sen. Sec. School, etc.’
Additionally, the team also collaborated with various plastic management corporations to learn efficient methods to
manage plastic and to garner public acclaim for our cause. Team AIS-43 partnered with ‘Eco-Green Corp. Ltd., Vipul
Belmonte Society, Roots Skills NGO, etc. Various persons spoke out in support of our team. They include ‘Swara
Bhaskar, the renowned actress, Dr. Rajshree Singh, IGP State Crime Branch and Ms. Meenakshi Lekhe, Member of
Parliament. The Team is motivated and enthusiastic to further combat the plastic menace and rid the immediate
environment from this scourge.

The German Learners of Amity International School Sec -43, Gurugram participated in the event ‘Namastey Deutschland’ organised by Goethe Institute Max Mueller Bhavan , New Delhi in collaboration with DPS -45 , Gurugram. The students participated and won prizes in the following events: First prize in Leiterspiel (German Quiz) and Chess Tournament. Second prize in Goethe super cup hymne in which the school team composed and choreographed a German song on their own. Also students participated in various interactive workshops like :Sprache der Spieler, Theater, Spielzeit and Sport in Deutschland.
Students of class 10 attended a DAAD session for higher studies in Germany 🇩🇪. Also many students participated in the Quiiz at the Goethe ( MAX MUELLER) stand and won many prizes like School bags , bottles , pouches and diaries. The day was filled with learning , experiences and challenges. AIS-43 Principal, Dr Anshu Arora, congratulated the winners and motivated them to further excel in upcoming German events.
The school hosted the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ in association with The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. The
event commemorates the birthday of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who is known for representing the best values in Indian
tradition where governance is concerned. A debate Competition was held to mark the occasion. 18 elite schools from
Delhi-NCR participated in this annual mega event. Sh. O.S. Randhawa, ex deputy CVO was the chief guest to grace the
occasion. In his speech, he motivated students to imbibe values which will take the nation to greater heights. The Principal,
Dr. Anshu Arora welcomed the dignitaries of PGCIL and the students of various schools. She urged the children to uphold
the values of Integrity.

Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation with their special love and care grandparents keep a family close at
heart. To honour them, Amity International School, Sector-43, Gurugram pre-primary celebrated ‘Grandparents
Day’ on 23rd October, 2019 under the aegis of our Honourable Chairperson, Dr. Amita Chauhan Ma’am.
The function commenced with a havan to invoke the blessings of almighty. The pre-primary students welcomed the
grandparents with a mellifous rendition. An array of activities were organized for the grandparents in which they
participated with great zeal. Lively music and dance performances left the grandparents mesmerized. The highpoint
was the ‘Antakshri’ session which was enjoyed by all.
The grandparents shared some memorable moments and relived their childhood with the grandchildren. Students
made cards and gifted a token of love in the form of plant samplings.
High tea was relished by all. The success of the event was evident through joyful smiles and teary eyes of the
grandparents as they were overwhelmed to see their grandchildren perform for them.
The grandparents expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards school Principal, Dr. Anshu Arora and school Vice
Principal Ms. Soma Mukherjee.
Hence, ‘Grandparents day’ was a memorable one for the children as well as the grandparents who left with pleasant
memories, loads of appreciation and heaps of blessings.

Amity International School, Sec 43 Gurgaon celebrated the Founder’s Day with great fervor and gaiety on 24th
October 2019. The occasion was celebrated to mark respect for an eminent educationist, Dr Ashok K. Chauhan,
who had laid the foundation of the elite institution. The special assembly commenced on a spiritual note with a
havan invoking the blessing of the Almighty. The enthusiastic students presented self-composed poem and
enlightening thoughts. Students also spoke about Founder Sir’s strong belief in his mantra of ‘BHAAG’- behaviour,
hardwork, ambition, attitude and GOD. The highlight of the assembly was an enthralling dance performance. On
this auspicious occasion, the students who had done school proud in the session 2018- 19 were also felicitated
with scholar badges. The School Principal, Dr Anshu Arora, addressed the students and encouraged them to tread
on the path of hardwork in their life to achieve pinnacle of success in all their future endeavours.
A celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights, came alive at Amity International School, Sec 43, Gurgaon on 25th
October 2019, in a special assembly, celebrating the forthcoming festival. It was an informative and meaningful
assembly. It is the vision of the School Chairperson, Dr Amita Chauhan, to inculcate the values of rich Indian
culture amongst all Amitians. The whole school wore a festive look with diyas, lanterns and colourful rangoli,
adorning the corridors, making it a perfect setting for the festivity. Students reiterated that it is celebrated to mark
the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after an exile of fourteen years. Students threw light on the 5-day festivity and
significance of Dhantaras, Choti Diwali, Lakshmi Puja, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dhooj. The students recited poems
and presented a melodious rendition which brought out the essence of the joyous festival. A fusion dance
performance enthralled and impressed the audience. A nukkad natak was presented and it conveyed a strong
message of being sensitive towards the environment by not burning crackers and using plastic. The students
pledged to have a clean, green and safe Diwali.
