Technical Advantages of Amey Shredding Mills

CUTTERS

All cutters used in Amey Shredding Mills are of carefully selected alloy steel and

are treated to increase durability and sharp edge retention .The alloys are rated

up to a hardness level of HRC 60 being average. The advantage of hard facing is

that the cutter keeps its edge longer. And it is ideal for making clean cuts of

ductile but abrasive materials

OPERATING SPEED

Amey Shredders are designed with large amounts of surface area to wear on

consumable parts. When coupled with the low operating speed of the machine,

this produces a recipe for long-lasting equipment with minimal downtime. These

SHAFT DESIGN Amey Shredders use unique square shaft design for main shafts; Square shafts

4 Shaft shredding mills have 2 Main Shafts and 2 auxiliary rotating in tandem. Auxiliary cutters provide multiple additional features and improve shredding efficiency of the machine.

Some main features of auxiliary cutters are as follows: Mechanized cleaning of the main shaft cutters,

which enables shredder to handle sticky material such as stickers, tapes. Aux cutters clean the stuck material and keep the main shafts free.

Aux cutters provide extra gripping on the input material. Material like drums or foam floats/bridge and cannot be gripped by only 2 shaft. Aux cutters provide extra gripping to hold and direct this material to main shafts.

Extra cutting edges are added in the cutting chamber by aux cutters which increase the cutting per rotation. This is particularly advantageous when Shredders are used with output screen to get specific dimension output.

In general 4 shaft shredding mills are best suitable to handle sticky material, 3 dimensional materials such as filled cartons, drums and mixed unsorted waste. 4 Shaft shredders are also best suitable for Municipal waste/ Organic waste/ Agro waste shredding as it can cater all type of material and with the less maintenance of cleaning.
