ABOUT AMAROK GEOLOGICAL
SERVICES
Amarok Geological Services Pty Ltd is an independent African focused geological contracting company, which is incorporated in South Africa.
The management of Amarok Geological Services is comprised of experienced geological personnel whom have gained multi-commodity experience in a number of African countries and have operated in various exploration terrains.
All work undertaken is in accordance to current “best practice” industry standards.
The contracting business provides an expert “hands on” project management service and provides either a complete managed solution for your geological project or can cater for individual aspects of your project. We make use of an extensive associate network which enables us to offer a complete service.
CONTRACTING
Our contracting business aims at providing a cost effective service which is compliant with latest
“best practices”. We aim to streamline the field programmes in order to minimise cost to you, our
client.
We are happy to work side by side with your existing field teams or if you have taken a decision to
minimise staffing costs then we can provide a complete managed solution for your exploration
programme.
We also provide technical teams to undertake specific technical aspects of your programme i.e.
spectrometer surveys, surveying etc.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Our project management services are tailored to your needs. This service can include a complete
exploration management solution, including sourcing of quotes for subcontractors, help with
negotiating drilling contracts, government reporting etc or simply management of the technical field
teams – the choice is yours.
DATA MANAGEMENT
GIS
Our GIS services provide a professional solution for visualisation of your exploration data. We utilise
a combination of Arcview 9.3 and Oasis for the processing and visualisation stages. We utilise the
GIS functionality for planning and budgeting of the various exploration stages.
Data is stored in a geo-referenced geodatabase for easy export and referencing validation.
In addition we will source, compile and interpret public domain data and remote sensing datasets
according to your budget and requirements.
We also undertake remote sensing targeting based on multiple criteria and even produce
preliminary regolith maps from satellite imagery to help control the quality and interpretation of
your geochemical sampling data.
DRILLING
Drillhole planning, monitoring and interpretation is undertaken using Micromine 3D visualisation
software in combination with imported GIS data to ensure maximum targeting and planning
capability. Validated drillhole databases are presented to the client at periods specified by the
client.
ASSAY
Industry standard procedures and control sheets are utilised to control the insertion of QAQC
samples. Once results are received they are critically examined to identify the precision, accuracy
and whether any bias or contamination is evident in the assay sequence.
REPORTING
We offer various reporting options which range from monthly progress reporting through to
formalised exploration reports or Stock Exchange Compliant Reports. We also offer a complete
managed exploration service including government reporting.
