President Dwight D. Eisenhower was
born on October 14, 1890 in Denison,
Texas. He died on March 28 1969 in
Washington D.C. his father name was
David Jacob Eisenhower. His mother
name was Ida Elizabeth Stover
Eisenhower. The d in his name stands for
David but everybody called him Ike
because that was his nick name. When
the president was a little baby he moved
to Abilene, kanas. He grew up to be very
poor but he worked throughout his
youth to earn money. He attended local
public schools, and he graduated from
high school in 1909 he went to military
school right after college.
Some accomplishment the presidents attend the army war
college and joined General
MacArthur’s staff. After World War 2
he quit and became president of
Columbia University. He moved up in
his military year. Throughout World
War 2 he became chief of staff to
commander general Walter Kruger.
He was promoted to brigadier
general in 1941, 1942 he became a
magger general. He was the supreme
alluded commander in charge of day
in 1944 he was made a five star
general. While he was president he
sent troupes to little rock Arkansas to
make sure that the local schools
where desecrated. This was an
important step for the president.
