Let me begin by introducing myself as the vast majority won’t know me given that my time at St Paul’s has been relatively short. This is my third year at St Paul’s and I am the sixth Principal of this wonderful establishment. Prior to coming to St Paul’s I was the Principal of William Carey Christian School which is a very large Pre K to Year 12 co-educational Christian school in the south west of Sydney. I am married to Bronwyn who works as a psychologist in schools and we have two lovely daughters who have started at St Paul’s this year in Year 5 and Year 7. One of the purposes of commencing this newsletter is to reconnect with you - our alumni. Each of you have been an important part of this community in the past and we would like you to continue to be connected with your school into the future. Our hope is that this newsletter will keep you up to date with new developments at the school and also to highlight some of the ongoing achievements and experiences of our diverse range of alumni. Last term, during our Secondary School Musical, we invited as many alumni for whom we had accurate contact details, to a pre-show function. This was the first local alumni function that the school has hosted for some years and it was a wonderful opportunity to commence our reconnection. We are currently planning for some other events into the future to continue this process of re-engagement. I do hope that I will get the opportunity to meet with each of you over time. St Paul’s is certainly a wonderful community which will be all the richer with the continued engagement with our alumni. I pray for God’s blessing on you and your families and look forward to getting to know you more into the future. Ian Wake Principal

International Students Reunion

On Saturday 21 October, 2017 we celebrated the St Paul’s International Student Programme with the 20 Year Reunion. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the significance this programme holds at our school. Past and current international students and their families enjoyed reminiscing and building connections, along with past and present St Paul’s staff.
