Altro Walkway 20 is our hugely popular hard-wearing 2mm slip-resistant flooring. The range boasts 44 colors and shares its palette with Altro XpressLay. This enables you to combine both ranges when you need traditionally-adhered and adhesive-free flooring in adjacent areas while maintaining a consistent look.

What’s even better is Altro Walkway 20 offers you two distinct looks; traditional and modern. Both looks come with Altro Easyclean technology for superior cleanability and stain resistance.

A static-dissipative version is available, specifically designed for locations where static buildup must be avoided.

Altro Walkway 20 also looks great when paired with Altro XpressLay, Altro Aquarius, Altro Wood, Altro Orchestra or even Altro Zodiac Smooth.

Slip resistance

It is designers, specifiers and end-users’ responsibility to ensure flooring is fit for purpose, and it’s part of our role here at Altro to help make this process easy. Our flooring is separated into three categories: safety, slip-resistant and smooth.

Altro Walkway 20 is a slip-resistant flooring. It’s a perfect choice for many commercial areas in which your slip risk is not as high as a commercial kitchen or other wet environments, but your patrons, patients, students and employees still deserve to be secure on their feet. Slip-resistant flooring from Altro will reduce the risk of slips, give you peace of mind and look good doing so.

Altro Easyclean

Rather than using a superficial surface coat, Altro Easyclean Technology is incorporated into the flooring while it is manufactured. This allows Altro flooring to benefit from enhanced cleaning and maintenance while still allowing our products’ slip-resistant properties to shine through.

Smooth flooring will have a higher level of Altro Easyclean than a slip-resistant or safety floor.

Installation quickfacts for safety and slip-resistant flooring

Substrate preparation

• Patching materials used on the substrate must be Portland-cement based

patching compound. Gypsum-based products may be unsuitable. Silicate

based admixes and sprays are not suitable.

• Moisture-tolerant patching and leveling compounds must be used in wet

environments.

• Concrete surface pH should not exceed 9.9 alkalinity.

• Conduct moisture tests per ASTM F2170 on all concrete slabs regardless

of age or grade level. Relative humidity tests must not exceed 90% RH.

Test results are only indicators of current moisture conditions at the time of

testing and do not predict future moisture conditions.

• All concrete on or below grade must have a fully functioning and intact sub-

slab moisture vapor barrier.

• Substrate should be smooth, clean and dry.

• Do not use markers, pens, construction crayons, tapes or paints on the

subfloor. This may bleed through and cause permanent staining.

• Follow all applicable local, state and federal regulations and laws pertaining

to saw cutting, grinding and patching work of concrete; all work is to

comply with OSHA 3902 Respirable Crystalline Silica Standard.

Acclimatizing material

• HVAC must be in permanent operation prior to installation.

• Installation area and Altro materials must be maintained and installed

between 68°F (20°C)-85°F (29°C).

• Rolls should be kept standing upright in a secure location to prevent

toppling over for a minimum of 72 hours at 68°F (20°C).

• A minimum temperature of 68°F (20°C) must be maintained for 72 hours

before, during, and after installation.

• Do not proceed with installation until all conditions have been met.

• Material should be checked for defects, unmatched dye lots, etc. If a fault
