Terma Aerostructures Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) Solutions – Aircraft Integration of Electronic Devices AME refers to military equipment that can be added or removed to a weapon system in order to provide a new or added capability. Terma A/S designs, integrates, and manufactures a wide variety of EW and AME structures, including weapon pylons, missile launchers, airborne pods, and countermeasures structures for both aircraft and helicopters. Over the last 30 years, Terma has produced more than 13,000 pylons for the F-16 fighter, i.e. fuel, weapon, and centerline pylons and various EW pylons. In 2006, Terma was awarded a contract to manufacture the Air- to-Ground Pylons for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Furthermore, Terma has delivered more than 50 reconnaissance pods for the F-16 fighter and more than 70 countermeasures pods for aircraft and helicopters. Terma also supplies the F-35 Gun Pod and the F-35 DART Pod. Terma prides itself on responding rapidly to customer requests, and we have the capabilities to design, qualify, and manufacture structures under one roof. CAPABILITIES: 25 years of experience in packaging/integration of electronic devices such as ISR, electronic warfare (EW), data acquisition, etc. into either scap-on or “podded” solutions “One-stop shop” from concept development to certification of the solution Quick-reaction programs; flying in 3-9 months! Our structural solutions are fielded on a large number of fighters, helicopters, and transport aircraft (see pictures on the back) Modular metal designs available, suited for economical and quick- reaction programs Composite POD solutions available, suited for low weight/strength programs Low observable radar (Stealth) designs available Development of thermal management solutions Development of internal or external (ex. Ram air driven) power so- lutions Design and installation of harness solutions.
