This week is a Parliamentary Break Week. The next sitting of the
House will be November 14, 2011.
House of Commons committee meetings will resume the week of
November 14-18, 2011.
The Senate adjourned on November 3, 2011 until Tuesday, November
15, 2011, at 2 p.m.

This being a Parliamentary Break Week, the next sitting of the
House will be on November 14, 2011 at 11:00 am.

will be debated again at 2nd reading on November 14,

Jobs Growing Act) will be debated at Report Stage

! Short Title: Purple Day Act
! Sponsor: Geoff Regan (MP for Halifax West)
! Introduction and 1st reading: September 21, 2011
! Scheduled to be debated on Monday November 14, 2011 as part of
Private Members' Business.
Bill C-278 would designate March 26th of every year as "Purple
Day". On the 26th day of March, people would be encouraged to wear
thecolour purple to indicate their support for people with epilepsy
and to increase public awareness of this disorder. Purple Day would
not be alegal holiday or a non-juridical day.
