Easter Break: No classes March 20--March 31 Classes resume Sunday, April 3, 6 and 7.

Holy Week begins TODAY with Palm Sunday! The Triduum which includes Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday are all very moving. I hope your family will participate in these sacred days through the week ahead. All of us in Religious Formation wish you and your family a very happy and blessed Easter. First Eucharist Retreat for parents and their First Eu-charist candidate is Saturday, April 9, from 8:30 until 12:00. Watch for information in your email and regular mail. Please respond to Karen in the office by April 1, how many parents/guardians will attend the retreat with your child. Fall Registration for Formation Classes will begin April 6, 7 and 10. Assessments: Youth in grades 5 and 8 will take an assessment required by the Diocese. Our Wednesday/Thursday and Home Study classes will be completing their assessment April 6 and 7. These assessments help us see how effective the materials we use in our formation classes are and show us areas where we need to im-prove. Second Semester Celebration! Mark your calendar for April 9 beginning at 4:30. We are in the planning stag-es for a great night of fun! We started our year off with a youth Liturgy in September. On April 9, we are planning our Second Semester Celebration which will begin with Liturgy followed by a special dinner and night of fun and games. I hope your family will make time to join us for this special event! Watch for more information in the bul-letin and gathering area in the weeks ahead! Journey with Jesus is August 1-5! Volunteers need-ed! We are in the process of planning our Vacation Bible School, Journey with Jesus, (JWJ)! If you are inter-ested in being part of the planning committee (it takes a lot of helping hands) or have a youth in grades 6 and up who would like to help, please sign up in the gathering area on the formation table. A start-up meeting will be held soon. PLEASE pray about joining our catechetical team. We are in need of catechists for next fall. We offer training and certification classes to help you to be confident in the classroom. We train you, give you mega amounts of sup-port, and usually have a catechist, co-catechist and/or aide in each classroom. We even have Lead Catechists to help with lesson planning and classroom management. We are recruiting now so you can observe a class in ac-tion if you would like to, see how much support is availa-ble, and look through the materials we provide. Feel free to call or email Karen in the office to see where your tal-ents and gifts fit in. We need you and would love to talk to you!

Your Dearborn Ham and meat orders will be ready for pick up this Tuesday evening in the gathering area 6-8pm. Thank you for your support in this fundraiser to help our youth with their mission trip this summer. Following Thursday evening’s Last Supper Liturgy, all high school youth are invited to the youth room for the evening. We will share in a snack and then settle in to watch The Passion. Promptly at 11:30, we will all make our way to the day chapel to be present for the Tannebrae prayer. Our time to-gether will come to an end at this time as well, which will be midnight. Please arrange for rides home. For Boys Only...All high school aged boys are invited to participate in a one day retreat Saturday April 16th, 9am to 9pm here at St. Mary Magdalen. This one day retreat promises to not only be full of God and faith, but also fun, engaging and thought provoking. With content taking from The Theology of the Body, con-versations and activities have been created for the day. The focus for the day will be on what society says about sex and how we are called to be Catholics among the pressures of today. For more detailed in-formation, myself and Darlene March will be available after all three Liturgies the weekend of April 9 and 10, to answer any questions and go over the agenda. Please feel free to contact Margaret Callaghan at [email protected] sooner if you’d like.

We will not be meeting next Sunday as it is Easter Sunday! May your day be filled with love that overflows, with laughter that fills the air, and with love that can’t be contained. God is so good! Have a blessed celebration! EDGE Our last two meetings of the year are Monday April 4 and 25! WOW!! Hard to believe we are coming to the end. Have a most enjoyable spring break no matter what your plans are. Just staying home and getting to sleep in is a treat!!
