EligibilityStudents in grades 9-12 in the fall of 2016 & 2016 graduating seniors. Previous show choirexperience is not required. However, members will be responsible for learning choreographedroutines and vocal parts for performance.

CostRegistration is $97.00 and includes instruction, materials, t-shirt and more! Some scholarships are available.

StaffThe group will be directed by Eric Van Cleave, staff clinician with Show Choir Camps of America and former choral director at Jefferson High School. "I am absolutely thrilled to be directing these groups. This will be a fantastic opportunity for singers and performers from all the area high schools to come together to form one Super Show Choir!"

Nationally acclaimed choreographer, Shawn Eck, from Orlando, FL, will be designing the visual elements of the production. As a professional dancer & choreographer, he has worked withEarth Wind and Fire, the BackStreet Boys, Universal Studios, Show Choir Camps of Americaand Walt Disney World Live Entertainment.

Music educator and choral director, Marcy Miller, will be coordinating the production.

What to expectMembers will learn music and choreography to be performed in front of a jam-packed audienceat the 4th of July Stars & Stripes Celebration at Riehle Plaza in downtown Lafayette. Members must attend all rehearsals and be available for the performance.Previous show choir experience is not required. No audition required.

What music will we perform? At the time of this publication, musical selections have not been finalized. However, up-beatpop/rock material will likely be predominant.

Will there be opportunities for solos or features?Some soloists may be featured within the group material however, the focus will be on group achievement.Performers should not join for the purpose of obtaining solo and/or preferential staging opportunities. All artistic decisions will be made by the production staff.

What if I've never been in a "show choir?"That's okay! However, members with less experience singing while moving may require a bitmore "homework" time. We'll learn 3 to 4 group numbers in one week!No audition is required.

What if I'm very enthusiastic, but don't have lots of dance experience?No previous dance training is required. Choreography will be specifically tailored to the material and ability level of the performers. All that's required is a positive attitude and the willingness to embrace learning new things!

Will rehearsals be fun or lots of work?Both! Members should be prepared to work hard during rehearsals. We'll prove hard work can be fun...and you won't believe what we can achieve in just one week!
