A NOTE FROM FR. CHRIS

Dear Parishioners, I hope that you are doing well in mind, body, and spirit! As we begin to plan for Faith Formation this fall, we are aware that another resurgence of the virus is a real possibility. Many states in the South and West of our country are being greatly impacted right now. So we need to be prepared to be able to deal with more shutdowns if and when they happen. Even recently in the Merrimack Region, there have been instances of priest’s needing to go into quarantine due to potential exposure to the virus. Even the best preventative measures do not guarantee 100% perfect protection from the virus. As Catholics, we are people of Faith and Reason. This means that we must continue to do everything reasonable to stop the spread of the virus, such as washing hands, wearing masks, and socially distancing. But it also means- more importantly- that we must put our faith and trust in the Lord at all times! He is our protector and our defender. This is the time for all of our faith to increase, not weaken or lessen. As the summer continues, I encourage us to make the most of the time that God gives to us each day to grow closer to Him. God bless, Fr. Chris

It's our goal and hope at All Saints to offer all parishioners opportunities to learn and grow in faith. Starting last week, we began including

FAITH FORMATION HANDOUTS in our weekly email updates. On each handout you'll find ideas for grades 1 through 8, high school, and adults. They include weekly Scripture readings, questions for discussion, and activities to help you grow closer to God. If you have not been receiving our weekly emails and you would like to receive them, please email [email protected]

R.S.V.P. FOR MASS Due to social distancing guidelines, we are limited to 125 people for each Mass. Masses for each weekend will be posted online the previous Monday. Please RSVP

at allsaintshaverhill.org/mass-sign. If you or someone you know is not online, please call the Parish Office to RSVP for Mass.

The Parish Mass Book for 2021 is open for Mass Intentions and for the offering of the Bread and Wine for Holy Masses.

BREAD AND WINE If you would like to reserve the Bread and Wine offered at all Masses for 2021 in memory of a deceased loved one/loved ones, the offering is $225.00 per month. We have openings for the months of February, March, April, June, July, August, October, November, and December.

MASS INTENTIONS A Mass intention is booked for the memory of a loved one who has departed from this life to eternal life and a Special Intention is for a loved one who is living (per directives from the Archdiocese of Boston). The offering for one Mass is $10.00.

One intention is booked for the daily noon 12:10pm Mass and evening 6:00PM Mass. Multiple intentions can be booked for 3 of the 4 weekend Masses. The fourth Mass is a rotational Pro-Populo Mass (for the needs of the parishioners).

You can book Mass intentions or reserve the Bread and Wine by calling the parish rectory. 978-372-7721

Our ALL SAINTS PARISH HOSPITALITY HOTLINE volunteers will be making another wellness phone call to

our parishioners for the next couple of weeks. If you are aware of any parishioner who is in need of anything that we can provide for them, please call the rectory.

While many aspects of our life have come to a standstill, the work of our ministries continues as we strive to meet the needs of those who are relying on our guidance and assistance. The sick and homebound continue to receive spiritual support and information over the phone from the Archdiocese’s Faith Community Nurses and Chaplains program. Our Pregnancy Help Centers continue to provide resources for women facing crisis pregnancies. Those suffering from addiction still need support and guidance and many have greater need for counseling and spiritual support during this time of heightened anxiety.

Your support of the CATHOLIC APPEAL ensures that these programs and services continue. With the knowledge that many of you are also facing challenging financial realities, and with concern for the people we serve, your prayerful consideration is greatly appreciated. Your donation will make a significant difference as we continue serving the Catholic faithful and all our brothers and sisters in need. To learn more about Your Church at Work or to make a donation, visit bostoncatholicappeal.org Thank you!

Sharing the Gospel Imagine being one of Jesus' disciples. One moment you see more than 5,000 hungry people. You don't know what to do. The next moment you see Jesus turn a small lunch into a huge feast. Jesus gives you the food, and he asks you to share it with the hungry people. Jesus asks the same thing today. Share what he gives you with others, too. Prayer Jesus, help me to share what you have given me. Something to Draw Draw a picture of yourself handing out food to hungry people.

MEDITATION In Christ There Is a Table Set For All

CENEDIUS/Stamps

RECESSIONAL Come Follow Me and Live Berberick

Come, follow me and live; Do not be afraid. Believe and trust in me ; Your faith will give you strength. Leave all your fears behind you; Let your heart be free, for I will be your guide. Oh, come and follow me. PRELUDE/POSTLUDE Table Of Plenty Schutte

Come to the feast of heaven and earth! Come to the table of plenty !

God will provide for all that we need, here at the table of plenty.

1. Oh come and sit at my table where Saints and sinners are friends.

I wait to welcome the lost and lonely to share the Cup of my love.

2. Oh come and eat without money; Come to drink without price.

My feast of gladness will feed your spirit with faith and fullness of life.

3. My bread will ever sustain you through days of sorrow and woe.

My wine will flow like a sea of gladness to flood the depths of your soul.

4. Your fields will flower in fullness; Your homes will flourish in peace.

For I, the giver of home and harvest, will send my rain on the soil.

FROM THE MUSIC MINISTER Back to Basics Catholic Eucharist Hymns 101 We are staying on task, once again singing “Father, We Thank Thee” with additional text, verse 3, by Bishop Reginald Heber: “Bread for the World in Mercy Broken” from early XIX c. Just as the lyrics of the hymn have their history so does the tune itself. GENEVAN 98/118, is one tune used for two psalms. The melody is also called RENDEZ A DIEV (Return to God), the French incipit for Psalm 118, for which it has been composed and published in the Genevan Psalter in 1551. Enjoy the new lyrics and different harmonization. Kasia
