Evangelist Anglican church, London, on Wed, Nov 21. The
local Imam as well as our own Father Murray Sample will also
be participating. All are welcome and book sale proceeds will
go to the Share-Love-Serve capital campaign of the host
church.
Remembrance Table Throughout November, the Church prays for all who are in the
purifying fires of Purgatory, waiting for the day when they
will join the company of the saints in heaven. The celebration
of Mass is the highest means the Church can provide for
charity for the dead, but we can also relieve their sufferings
through our prayers, sufferings and penances.
Our “Remembrance Table” will be in the Church all of
November. You are invited to write the names of your loved
ones who have died on the paper provided and place it in the
bowl. We will remember to offer them in prayer for the month
of November.

From the Thanksgiving collection, approximately 685 pounds of food was distributed to the Food Bank, the Women’s Rural Resource Centre, and to the Children’s Aid in Strathroy. Helping Hands: to those less fortunate in our community we served the following:
- 60 meals September; - 70 meals in October.
Correction: in August we served 60 extra lunches, bringing the total lunches served to 120. In November we will be serving two luncheons: November 15th and November 29th. The Christmas Luncheon will be served on December 20, 2018. Outreach Program: during September and October we assisted people with $540. School Lunches: we will continue to provide school lunches as needed.
‘Angel Tree’: we will be collecting for the ‘Angel Tree’ as a manner of collecting toys and gifts for the children of various ages in our community who will not, otherwise, receive any presents. These gifts will be distributed to the Salvation Army Food Bank and will be included in the food hampers for the poor. Some will also be distributed to the Women’s Rural Resource Centre, and to the
Children’s Aid here in Strathroy. Please look for the ‘Angel Tree’ the first weekend in December. The Angel Tree will be situated in the Narthex.
‘Adopt a Family Program’: as carried out in previous years, we are collecting the names of families of our Parish who are in need so that we can provide them with a food hamper along with some gifts. If you know of someone or a family of our Parish in need, or if you would like to
adopt a family, please call our church office at 519-245-0644. ‘Christmas Food Drive’: during the weekend of November 24 and 25, church bulletins will include grocery bags for our Christmas Food Drive of non-perishable items. This collection will begin on the weekend of December 1st and 2nd. This food will go to the Salvation Army Food Bank, the Women’s Rural Resource Centre, and to the Children’s Aid in Strathroy.
