All for each tinonee-p.schools.nsw.edu.au Principal – Karen Austin Term 1 Week 3 13 th February, 2020 Hi Everyone! We have had an exciting week. There have been many extra activities that students and staff have enjoyed. We have the Life Education Van at school. Students who have participated, have gained a lot of critical information about health and good choices. Yesterday, we had Robotics in the library. All classes loved the experience. This will be repeated next term. This year, there is a change to our Band. We have purchased our own instruments from the conservatorium and Mr. Roger Griffiths will be at our school on Thursdays. There will be a note coming home. Instruments will now have a bond of $50 and a weekly fee of $10 for private lessons in place of $22 charged previously by the conservatorium. We are encouraging as many students as possible to have a go at band. I would like to thank Janet Sanford, a community member who donated two beautiful instruments for students to use in our band. Fees will no longer go through the conservatorium, but through our own school office. Much easier! Important reminder: Our roof is being replaced on the administration and canteen block this weekend. Scaffold will be erected Thursday, blocking off the stairs leading to the admin office. Parents and carers can enter the school via the walkway and use the stairs near the cola to gain access to the office. On Monday 17 th , the admin will temporarily operate from the Library. We are hoping the weather will work in the favour of the contractors over the weekend. Thank you for your patience. Our Colour Explosion is coming up on 20 th March. Just a reminder, that staff at school do not sponsor students. We need to be fair and equitable to all students and therefore it is impossible for staff to sponsor 159 students at any time. We appreciate your support with sponsorship and your understanding. Our Captains Induction Assembly is this Friday, commencing at 12.10pm in the hall. Everyone is welcome. Have a great week.
