Born 1942 - still alive

introduction

Best known for being the heavyweight boxing champion of the world.

3 Key qualities:

braveryperseveranceconfidence

What I find interesting is that the reason he started boxing is because somebody stole his bike and he was really mad. he went downstairs and met a police officer who taught him how to box.

WHen he was born, his name was cassius clay, but he wanted to change his name because it was the name of his ancestor's slave master.

I CHOSE THIS PERSON BECAUSE he likes sports and i like sports a lot.

famous quotation: "i'm muhammad ali. i float like a butterfly sting like a bee. there's nobody bigger or better than me."

When somebody stole muhammad's new bike he was really mad, so he went downstairs and asked the guy who was teaching boxing if he could teach him.

I think that he had a good reaction because he was poor and bikes cost a lot.

after muhammad got the heavyweight title, he still couldn't be served at restaurants because he was black.

I think he felt mad because he worked so hard to be the champion, and people kept disrespecting him because he's black.

now he donates his time, money, and himself to children around the world. he opened a training center for everyone. muhammad also visited sick kids in hospitals and the elderly in nursing homes.

i think it is really nice of him to spend time with the kids and elderly. I would open a pool to teach kids how to swim.

he spoke out for himself even though he got called names like the louisville lip.

i think that it was mean that people called him names just because He seemed like he was bragging. He wasn't bragging, he was speaking up for the people in his culture.

When Muhammad Ali was fighting Sonny Liston, the heavyweight champion of the world, Ali just blocked his head and face until the seventh round. In the eighth round, Ali punched Sonny in the stomach and Sonny fell to the floor.

I think that it was a good idea to wear Sonny Liston out. Ali waited until Sonny was tired and then Ali punched him out and Won!

he did not give upeven when people said he could not beat sonny liston but he actually did.

i think it was smart of him to not listen to the people who said he could not beat sonny lison.

muhammad ali said he didn't want to fight in the vietnam war, so the judge put him in jail and he couldn't box for five years. they also took away his title of heavyweight boxing champion of the world. everyone thought that he wouldn't box again, but he did.

i think it would be really hard to make a comeback because there are all different and new boxers.

I think some people were inspired to write poems to tell people how they feel, just like muhammad ali did.

he inspired a lot of people to speak out for what they believe in even if they get called bad names.

i read that when he was drafted to go to the vietnam war, this was a problem. he used it as an opportunity to stand up for what he believed in. he was fighting for the respect of his religion.

i think that it was mean for people to try to put him in jail just because of what he believed.

I'm A change maker when my friends get into fights, I try to

cheer them up.

I'm Similar to my change maker because we both like

sports.

My Change maker

is connected to martin luther king

jr. because he supported muhammad's

objection to fighting in the
