Algebra 1 Course Guide How to be Successful in

MATH!

Take Responsibility for your Learning! 1) Stay informed

• Subscribe to the blog jayemath.wordpress.com

• Remind – join by texting @bjaye__ or @jayeparent to 81010

• Check your grades on Infinite Campus

2) Work Hard • Complete all assignments

and homework. You must show work!

• Keep your ISN neat, accurate, and up-to-date.

3) Get Help and Don’t Fall Behind • Watch the videos from the

lesson on the blog. They are posted for every lesson.

• Speak with Mrs. Jaye about extra help.

Know and Follow Classroom Rules and Procedures!

1) NO Cell Phones or Electronics

• All cell phones must go in the chart at the front of the classroom.

2) NO Food • Drinks with caps are

allowed 3) When you enter the room, read

the directions on the board and start the warm-up.

4) Homework will be checked at the beginning of the class.

5) During class, stay in your seat and on task.

6) At the end of class put away all supplies and trash.

7) Stay in your seat until the bell rings.

Supplies - Composition Book – 100 pages

(college ruled, bound) - 3-ring binder (can be shared

with other classes) - Paper - Pencils - Clear tape and glue - Scissors - Calculator – We use a TI-84

Plus in class. It is helpful to have one for homework but not required.
