P93 Name: Alexander Dougall Blackader, 1847-1932 Alexander Dougall Blackader fonds.- 1865-1933.- 26 cm of textual records and photographs. Biographical Sketch: A.D. Blackader joined the staff of the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in 1882 as an Instructor of Diseases in Children. Subsequently, he was Professor of Materia Medica and Therapeutics (1892-1894), Pharmacology and Therapeutics (1895-1921), Diseases of Children (1906-1921) and Pediatrics (1912-1921). He was acting Dean of the Faculty (1915-1918) and Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology (1921-1932). Custodial History: Acc. 407: Presented to the Medical Library of McGill University by Dr. Blackader in 1915. Acc. 604: Gift of Miss Barbara Kemp, granddaughter of Dr. A.D. Blackader, 16 and 23 March 1978. Old accession numbers 407 and 604. Scope and Content: The fonds documents A.D. Blackader’s personal and professional life. The fonds contains correspondence, diaries, autobiographical notes, papers and lectures, certificates, diplomas, testimonials and photographs.
