The sale of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs to the community has been announced in a press release last week. Congratulations to all who worked to make it happen.

The number of homes for sale has been holding relatively the same from spring through July. MLS figures show just over 500 properties listed for sale at the end of July. Comparing the number of transactions in July with June shows a drop in the number of people buying for the month. June was by far the strongest month in 2012 and July is the weakest month in 2012 for sales. Compared to July 2011, this July’s number of transactions is slightly less. Most of the homes sold in July were in the more affordable range and about 60% sold for less than $200,000.
