    Participate in and complete a one-week seminar

    Prepare for workshop by completingassigned reading

    Implement the unit plan into their

    curriculum

    Disseminate the summer instituteinformation with their colleagues attheir home schools

    Assist in evaluating the institute

    Who can participate?

    High school (grades 9-12) history andrelated-subject teachers with a high level of motivation, intellectual curiosity, and astrong commitment to fully participate inthe summer workshop.Open to all high school social studies teach-ers in Hillsborough County interested inincorporating content about the SpanishCivil War into their curriculum

    What is the cost?Participants are responsible only fortransportation to and from the seminars,

    and parking. There is no registration or ap-plication fee

    Where will the institute take place?At the University of South Floridas Tampacampus, 4202 E. Fowler Avenue, and inCentro Asturiano in Ybor City

    When will the Summer Seminar take place? July 19 23, 2010 (one week)Each day, 9:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-4:00pm
