Fellowship of the Mystery The Great Conflict---A. J. Tomlinson

That the people of God need a much deeper and broader experience is evident. It is also true and clear to the intelligent spiritual observer that God has provided for a much deeper experience in the atonement. It is a fact that the Lord's children are living far beneath their privilege in Christ. If the above statements are true, then every honest, humble , trusting child of God should not only pray and press his way toward the prize offered him, and should plunge into the great realm of grace deeper and yet deeper until the promised prize if obtained. Not only should this greater and deeper experience be sought after and

possessed for the benefit of the seeker, but all should remember that more souls should be saved from eternal destruction by His followers receiving from God this deeper experience. The deeper water is not disturbed by the surface winds. Then there is no time to tarry at the surface, for souls are swiftly going down to eternal despair. To remain at the surface means to take too much time to battle with the surface winds, which are detriments to your progress. While you are hindered by such forces in your own experience, you are not able to do what you otherwise could if you were deeper down, where the external disturbances would have no effect on you or disturb you while engaged in rescuing precious souls that would otherwise be lost. A deeper experience means a more forcible and powerful experience. As the earth is firmer beneath the surface, and the water more dense, so with one's experience. One who has this deep experience and is firm, is less apt to be driven about and tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, therefore he is more able to win souls to Christ. To be settled and established in the wrong place is indeed very serious; but to be established and fastened in the right place, as "a nail driven in a sure place," with an eye and determination to search the very depths of the Christian experience that was wrought for humanity in Christ is indeed a precious treasure. As the value of souls is so great, and their salvation so important as to call for such a sacrifice as was made at Calvary to redeem them, then surely we ought to see and feel the importance of deepening our experience, if by doing so will be the means of rescuing more of them. If the value of souls and the extension and spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ were of such consequence as to call men abruptly from their occupation, as was the case with Jesus' disciples, can we think the value of the same has decreased since that time? Nay, verily, there is no fluctuation of prices and values of souls as there is in the products of this world. If we judge by the appearance today in comparison with the appearance in the days of Jesus and His disciples, we would readily conclude values and prices of souls have decreased. For whoever hears of one in these days dropping and suspending business at the call of God as Peter the fisherman and Matthew the tax collector? Whoever hears of one hundred and twenty in one place forsaking everything of this world and gathering together for a deepening of experience, for an indefinite period of time, as the disciples and others did--in the early years of the gospel dispensation? And this , too, that they might be more effective in soul-saving. This is surely a time for people who claim to love Jesus and souls to awake, and remember the value and price of souls is the same now as then, and get a deeper experience, not only to prepare themselves for the meeting in the air, but for the salvation of souls as well. It is as important for "this gospel of the kingdom" to be preached in all the world now as then. It is as important to rescue souls now as then. The Holy Ghost is given for service and not for pleasure. He is to guide into all truth, even into the fellowship of the mystery. The natural man cannot comprehend the things of God, but "the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." Then if you have Him dwelling in your mortal body you may expect to be led deeper and yet deeper until the end is reached. To receive the Holy Ghost and not go deeper than when you received Him is to backslide, the Spirit becomes grieved, and you become hard and tough in your experience and dissatisfied with yourself and everybody else. The Holy Ghost is to guide you in all truth, which indicates a constant moving forward toward the goal. I am now on the steamship Miami, out on the waters of the broad Atlantic, and the pilot is on board. As the large vessel moves forward he does the guiding, and if she keeps moving forward he will guide her safely into port; but if

Page 3: Alabama Update March 2014

her engines should stop, and thus she become lifeless in the midst of the sea, the pilot will be unable to accomplish His purpose. So will the Holy Ghost as our pilot. As long as we keep moving forward He will guide, but if we stop He is unable to accomplish His purpose in our lives. But as we keep moving on He will plunge us deeper into the mysteries of God wrought out for us in the sacrifice and atonement made on Calvary. "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"(Rom.8:32). Wonderful promise, but true, and he that promised is faithful. God cannot deny Himself. But in order to reach the goal and obtain the prize we must keep moving on, so our Pilot can guide us safely into port. Glory! As we keep moving on and on we get farther and farther into the unknown. But we must not shrink nor fear. Move on with confidence, and don't be afraid of getting beside yourself. Don't be uneasy about fanaticism. Move on and He will guide, and if He guides you are safe. And if He guides into all truth He is sure to guide you out of all error, so you have nothing to fear. As you get deeper and deeper you will lose the fellowship of the world and ....will soon have a sweet fellowship with something that has hitherto been unknown. The veil of separation was rent from top to bottom, and now we have the wonderful privilege of going softly into the chamber where we can have the fellowship of the mystery (Eph. 3:10). Wonderful! Glorious in the extreme! Such as this granted to man! But where are we? Tossed about by external forces, instead of going into the depths beyond. It is high time for us to strain ourselves to the very utmost, if needs be, and bring every nerve into use, if it takes that, and move on into that which was purchased for us and rightly belongs to us. If we don't go on and possess these high attainments somebody ELSE WILL. God is going to accomplish His purpose. There has been a time for deep thought. That time is now past. We are now to pass the zenith of thought and try the untrodden path of mystery. Don't get scared now as you read. Keep looking up, and move on. If your pilot is on board you have nothing to fear. He is always delighted to have you increase your speed. He is able for emergency calls. He will never fail you if you fully trust Him. You may think sometimes you are going contrary to good judgment but you are going right if He is guiding. He wants to get you to the place where you "May be able to comprehend with all saints what if the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge that ye might be filled with all the fullenss of God." (Eph,3:18,19). This deep experience; this fellowship of the mystery; this familiar intercourse with principalities and powers in heavenly places; yea, this being filled with all the fullness of fullness of God is not too much to expect through Him who went to Calvary to obtain for us this wonderful experience: for He is able to do for us, "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." (Eph. 3:20). In conclusion I wish to impress on the hearts and minds of the precious people who read these pages the importance of this subject much depends on each one of you in these days of the last great conflict. That the world must have the gospel given them is evident. That it will never be done by the plans now in vogue is also evident, for it is said that while in the last one hundred years there have been two million reached, there has been an increase of heathens of two hundred millions during the same period of time. It is an acknowledged fact that NEW plans must be discovered and inaugurated. Then we must resort to another source for plans, and the only source for fully developed plans, and those which, if followed, will bring success and victory, are to be found only in His Word; and to accept His plans fully means a deeper and yet deeper experience that will take us away from the common to the unknown; from the natural to the supernatural and from the human to the divine. This and this only will carry the gospel into all the world for a witness in this generation. Long study and deep thought have been a comparative failure. Again I wish to say, it is time now to pass beyond the zenith of deep tiresome thinking and enter the secret vaults of the mystery of revelation. A real experience must first be obtained; then "GO!" fired up with holy zeal and undaunted courage, and the power will work in you mightily as He guides you on to certain victory. Be sure to move on into this deeper experience for the glory of God and the advancement of the cause you love so well. The full benefits to the atonement are ours if we will only appropriate them to our use for the glory of God and the salvation of a lost world.

Newsletter from Belarus

Missionary Dmitry & Irena Kavaleuski

Dear Friends!

Greetings to You from Minsk, Belarus!

God has given us a unique opportunity to serve here on the Belarusian land and to spread His Kingdom! We are very glad that God is using us here. We are grateful for your prayers and finan- cial support in this Mission. We would like to give all glory to God for this experience which we are having here in Belarus.

After many years in Siberia, we were greatly surprised that Belarus is a completely different world, and to serve God the way we did in Russia is just not working…In despite of all of these, God gives us new ideas and new revelations on how to move forward. The methods that we used in Si-beria are not working here, but we believe that there is a key from God to every nation!

The main thing that we are doing right now in Minsk is building a team of leaders. The people on whom we relied on, are leaving us due to various reasons: two families are migrating to USA, and some are going for work matter to Moscow; therefore, we are disposed that the start of our new church will take some time! Sometimes we want everything and right away but instead, God shows us that our hope and

expectation are not people, but in Him and His Calling!

On the last service we had 19 people in attendance. We are grateful to God for these people; we continually meet with them, fellowship, and are striving to raise them up for the ministry. We need time in order to form a good team. Praise to God for the musicians who have dedicated themselves for the opening of this new church plant. This brings encouragement to our hearts.

We have already adapted to this country, although, it was hard to leave big ministry and to come to a new place and start everything from zero… We are deeply appreciative of our National overseer Bro Gena and Sister Larisa for their open hearts full of care for us. Their love and encouragement help us feel that we are not alone here!

We need your prayers: Please pray for Natasha. She came to us a week ago with tears full of repentance. It has been 20 years ago since she has made covenant with God, but it is already 18 years since she left God and not attending church. She has a daughter, Angelica, who is 15 years old right now. Her husband doesn’t live with them. She asked us to pray for her that the changes would come in to her life, and that God would return to her the joy of salvation. Natasha and Angelica came to our church last week and want to return to God! Please, pray!

My heart is filled with faith that our Lord has not just brought us here for any reason but He has a purpose. Every day we pray ʊ to be faithful to His calling.

Thank you, dear friends, for your financial support and love towards our Belarus mission. We pray for you that God would reward you for all your generosity and love, and fill your families with His blessings in abundance. With love, Your missionary Dmitry, Irena, Paul and Melanie Kavaleuski
