6.15pm - BARON NOIR

France, between the two rounds of the presidential

election. Philippe Rickwaert, Socialist mayor of

Dunkirk and MP, supports with fervour the left-wing

candidate, his mentor Francis Laugier. Four days

to the second round, as the final candidates are

about to contend with one another on a TV Debate,

Rickwaert is warned by a policeman friend of his

that a search will take place in the headoffice of the

Dunkirk council estate which served as slush fund

for the campaign. Rickwaert will have to gather the

missing funds before the arrival of the police if he

wants to stop the events in motion from spiralling

into a total media disaster.

Clémence Poésy and the International Emmy award winning

Stephen Dillane return for the second series of Ben Richards’

multi-award winning The Tunnel. A high-volume, geo-politi-

cal, bi-lingual thriller, the series moves between the coasts of

Kent and Northern France via the Eurotunel, against a back-

drop of a continent in crisis. Commander Elise Wasserman and

DCI Karl Roebuck reunite to investigate the case of a French

couple abducted from the Eurotunnel. But the case is compli-

cated when a plane carrying British and French passengers

crashes into the Channel killing everyone on board. In a ter-

rifying game of brinkmanship, Karl and Elise risk everything

in the pursuit of true justice.

1960. The world is dominated by a powerful,

WWII victorious nation: la belle France, which

the entire planet entrusts to keep the Cold

War from spiralling into WWIII. Young André

Merlaux is thrilled when he’s accepted into the

French secret service, obviously the crème de

la crème in intelligence. From the creator of

OSS 117, A Very Secret Service is a chauvinistic

comedy show and the French missing link

between James Bond and The Office.

Every day is like walking a tightrope for talent agents Ma-

thias, Gabriel, Andrea and Arlette, striving to get contracts

for prestigious clients like Cécile de France, Nathalie Baye

and other top actors. This series - directed by none other

than the brilliant Cédric Klapisch - is a remarkable immer-

sion into the world and lives of movie-star agents, with an

all-star cast from Julie Gayet to Joey Starr.
