AIUB Inter Department Six-A-Side Football Tournament 2008

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has organized an Inter Department Six-a-Side Football Tournament from June 12, 2008 to June 19, 2008 in the Banani Club Ground at Dhaka.

In total 24 teams (216 players) from different departments (both undergraduate and graduate students) and a Faculty (teacher) team participated in the tournament. The Final match of the tournament was held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. in the Banani Club ground. In the final match the EEE team defeated the Faculty/Officer team to become the Champion. Ahmed Redwan of the Runner-up team became the best player of the tournament while Debnath Dhrupad of the Champion team was the highest scorer. Walee of the Champion team was the man of the match in the final.

The honorable Chairman of AIUB, Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Vice President of Academics Dr Tafazzal Hossain and Dean of Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain were present during the final match and gave prizes and trophies to the players after the match.
