Airfield Light Monitoring and Switching SystemThe Safegate ASP® system is the keystone in a concept for handling increasing volume of aircraft ground move-ments, even during low visibility, and while at the same time maintaining the highest level of safety.Safegate has been the pioneer in the application of power line communication technology to the airfield environ-ment. For more than 15 years, Safegate has been dedicated to this field, which is shown through our continuousdevelopment and innovation. Today, the third generation of ASP® system is in operation at more than 30 airportsworldwide. It is an extremely reliable system that can be installed using existing cables even if they are unshielded.The ASP® system makes individual monitoring and selective switching of airfield lights possible without the needfor laying special signal cables. An ASP® system lowers installation and operating costs and is an essential elementfor a complete Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (SMGCS), which allows safer airport operationin low visibility and normal weather conditions.
